SUPPORT GROUP - INFERTILTY

hi Toy,

Sigh this has been a real emotional roller coaster for me. I have been feeling quite depressed on and off for the past few days. I guess the problem is the missing line from the HPT.

All the other 3 ladies before me have tested positive. I think I will be the first one to fail in that batch. This feeling is so familiar and HAUNTING... I am really sad and I think you know that feeling...Been crying and crying

Sometimes I don't understand why the path seems so long for us. I am troubled and am in a dilemma because I duno at which point do I resign myself to fate and be contented with 1.

Now I pray that God gives me the strength to deal with the results....

hi Toy,

I have failed my IVF. I received a BFN today.

Trying to accept the fact. I think it will take me a while. SIgh, everyone who journeys with me got a BFP and I am the only one with the BFN. Out of the 4 ladies who were posting, I am the only one with the BFN. Sigh....really duno what to say...

Hi Jade

I also failed my IVF earlier. Then i went on to TCM and acupuncture, my TCM, you probably heard of in the IVF thread: Zou yishi at AMK. She is quite good, patient and gentle and reassuring. After taking her herbs, my hubby's sperm morphology even went up. U can consider.

Hi Koori,
I have gone to see Dr Tan, he seems very experience and had advised me to "tiao" my body 1st before go ahead with IUI/IVF. I'm thinking of giving him a try. Thanks again!

Jenn - ya if u tiao ur body and build up, might be able to withstand and better chances with IUI/IVF, be patient and rember to endure the bitter medicine but will be worth it.

koori,
I'll try 3-6 mths and see how's the result. hopefully can conceive without going thru IUI/IVF.

Did you manage to conceive thru his treatment?

Gals
need your advice on something. I have not told my MIL that I am having problems conceiving. But I am going for my SO-IUI soon. wondering if i should tell her anything at all. Worst case is need to proceed to IVF. Feel a bit bad not telling her

Hi littlemousie

I did not tell MIL that I went for IUI / IVF as I did not want to raise her hopes and make her feel disappointed in case it does not work.

Thanks Rabbit and Jenn!

Actually I think if my MIL knew, it will give me more stress. either way, I wonder which is the lesser evil. think now she "hates" me as she has the idea that I don't want to have kids and she demanded that I gave her a grandchild by end of 07. so things aren't too good with her now. But if she knew, guess she will also be displeased. Sorry gals. just venting. A bit of a nervous wreck on the impending procedures. worried if it will work? Have been on 6 rounds of clomid previously with no result

hi littlemousie,

I had similar experience before.

Anyway, my husband had to go for an ops before so
I kind of shared with her that the problem is with both of us. Plus I had a natural pregnancy before but it resulted in miscarriage. She does not mention so much these days as she knows that I do not like. I guess it depends on the character of individual MIL.

Do not worry littlemousie. There is no guarantee that any procedures will definitely work. It is all a matter of luck (I feel), some get it and others may not. At least, hubby and you will know that you have tried your best and explore all possibilities in life. No regrets later.

Good luck to all of us

hi littlemousie & rabbit,

Sometimes I feel that others may not understand what we've gone thru, they may not be so sensitive in their behaviour, we will then be hurt by them. So I rather keep it to those who I can share with.

Yesterday I went for HSG and found that my tubes are block. No choice, I definitely must go for IVF. Quite upset about it. I still dunno shd I inform my boss? I'm thinking of may be to do it in Mar / Apr, coz I wanna "tiao" my body 1st, to increase my chances.

Hi Jenn,

Guess this is just life...perhaps they also feel that we may not understand when they complain to us about their kids etc ;)

Sorry to hear about the blocked tubes, give IVF a try and see how things goes. Don't give up. We never know what life has in store for us. Jia You!!

It is a good idea to tiao...all the best.

Go for whichever you feel more comfortable (who to share with). IVF is stressful enough with just the jabs, body reaction, expectation etc, no need to add additional stress.

Keep in touch.

hi gals
I am new to this thread
Been recently diagnosis with mild endometriosis
and it is known to be 1 cause of fertility
anyone has this issue and trying for kids?
what advice would you give
thanks!

Hi lovebug1822
You are welcome. I am also quite new to this board. I have similar problem to you. But just wonder how you are diagnosed with endometriosis, did the doctor do any other checkup other than v scan?

Jenn,

Do go for a second HSG first. My first HSG shows that both of tubes are blocked. I went tru months of upset. I went for a second HSG. My second shows that both aint blocked. Sometimes the tubes go into spasm and appear blocked.

hi clari

Mine was detected as a dermoid cyst first then during the op they found out.
I just went for 1 check and then decided to do the op and get rid of it asap

hi hazel,

Thanks for sharing. My hubby ever asked the gynae could it be twisted or things like that, she said possible. But she suggested ivf, so we've decided to go for it in Mar.

Hi cloudz, I'm not sure about GlenE, I'm with Raffles Hosp, they have quite a no. of female gynaes. Mine is Dr Joan Thong. She's very experience.

Hi, my husband will do a seminal analysis after CNY at KKH. Just wondering how is the process? Should he collect the sperm at home or can be done in the hospital? If in hospital, would they have a room or enclosed space? Appreciated any advice.

Hi Joanne,

Your husband can collect it at home or at the hospital (shd have a room). You have to collect the container in advance from the nurse if he intends to do it at home and pass it to the nurses at KKH within a certain time period on the day of collection.

Thanks, Rabbit.
The instruction saying that we must send it to the lab within one hour. We prefer to do it at home. But, if collect at home, we need to consider the traveling time also. When we pass the container to the hospital, will they serve us directly or we need to q or need to do any registration? I think that will spend some time also, huh?

hi, Joanne,
if sperm is collected at home, you better keep the container at body temperature by holding it in your hands on your way to hospital.

Hi ladies

I'm looking for some hope here, my last CD3 blood test results showed high FSH at 16.5.

All the info which I have read have all been very negative about the chances of conceiving, even IVF would be difficult.

I am thoroughly devastated. I would like to know if there are any ladies here who also have a high FSH but have either conceived naturally or otherwise? Or are there any ladies who are just going through the same problem as me ??
