hi gals, i have been ttc also for abt 1.5yrs, still no news. Just went to see doc and he suspected that i got PCOS cos of family history of hypertension and diabetics.. sad arh .. just feeling very uncomfortable cos i dun know how serious it is. i also didnt ask much qns cos i dun know wat to expect also ... can i ask if any gals got PCOS, what is the next course of action ? can dun do operation and conceive naturally ? work so stress already still have to face this kind of stress ...being woman not easy hor ...

sept 07 surgery lapro remove cyst
dec 07 2nd miscg 8wks
april 08 dr christopher diagnose i got PCOs, endo, adenomyosis. advise me to go another lapro clean up, tk hormone pill. diagnose hubby got varicocoele to do surgery. he said aft lapro i shd tk hormone to curb growth. but another dr nair say i shd boast my egg do IUI dont do another lapro unless very necessary. hubby dont need to do surgery. sinseh say the same as dr nair, eat better and try again... who shd i listen to??
ML i know hw u felt.. i almost collapse when i read up on endo & PCOs, another obstacle plus another obstacle to get preg and another higher chance of dying earlier than others... now i already starting to bald , wonder if my hormone is getting worse. menses getting very short... i'm so scare... IVF is the highest chance for us to get preg but then the cost and the risk involve... i hope i can conceive naturally... the worse thing is i just cant relax.... i keep thinking when i'm working and often feel very tense.. initially i thought it's my stress that causes miscg, now it's getting clearer but i hope i can brace up when i get preg again

sorry, anyone did hsg recently? i suppose to do this coming sat. how long is it? had plan to go to work after that, is it very pain? how about hysteroscopy? i dont really understand why i going for these two... so ex .. might as well do lapro.. if tube really block then do lapro end up will cost 2k+ more for nothing.. i really very worried, must we be rich to have kids? sigh i had barely 20k saving now already 4k down the drain just to do blood test, hsg, hysteroscopy. i'm so worried... if i need iui or ivf then aft get preg still must do reg blood test will my bb cost 30k? sigh very worried...

im sorry to hear that you have been gg through a lot these days. I have also been ttc for 1.5yrs and has endo and cysts and fibroids. Not sure whats wrong. Anyway Ive never done hsg or hysteroscopy so cant help you there. hope someone can come along and give u advice...

Haha just finished HSG, ok not pain just abit mense cramp i'm used to that.. Glad my tube nt block so likely dont need ivf. anxious on the hysteroscopy on mon.. i hope i dont need another lapro.. saw a $0.50 big blood clot this mth mense think it's not a good sign.. abit worried.. and these day actually the last 9mths i felt very tense.. no matter hw hard i try i just get a nervous attack feel very tight and fast heartbeat oftn.. worry will affect bb wn i preg sigh relax relax... i just cant do it.. wonder if doc can give medi to curb the harmful hormone release from these stress.
wow lau my medi bill past 3 wk already 4.5k just to check my hormone, my reprod organ.. hope i get preg soon and bb be good stay with me thru out.. i'm so afraid of losing it again... $ gone i can save again but my confidence is already crash i cant afford another tragedy...

Hi ladies,

I was hestiate whether to go for full checkup in KK and heard that there are many procedures. Hope anyone who can went thru can enlighten me. My husband not keen in TCM and difficult to ask him to go for TCM.

Personally I think it is good to go for checkup on both husband and wife situation to determine the root cause.
hubby and i have been trying for more than 5 years. We have been seeing TCM and also checkup at private and public hospitals before deciding to embark on IUI and IVF.

ya calla, dont assume it is always we the woman having prob... sometimes it's the man or both! u gotta be determine to go thru all these procedure. as i go along now i told myself i suffer so much to have a kid i really pray god have the mercy to grant us a healthy kid then all these pain are nothing! ask ur hubby to go once at least know his base then can buy follow up medi when u go bck for reg seesion.
hav u try raising ur lower body after baby dance? tried to catch ur ova date? how about drinking dong cong cao heard it helps. dunno if i work for u but i worked for me at least it seems to help me conceive though i still lose it...

Tried ovulation kit for past 1 yr.
Completed 3 mths of yoga to relax myself but still did not work.
I know i am going into depression mode. It takes a lot of courage to go for tests and even for procedure cos i work in hospital so more gossip abt this. I went thru a day surgery to remove my polyp last september..so afraid of surgical stuff.

hi babychole, ya dong cong ao is good for both sex, dont drk wn having flu or cough. gao li i heard it's gd to build consitution build up ur health but fertility i'm nt sure.
i just finish my hysteroscopy, doc say no scar in womb but bad news is i was tested weakly positive for auto immunity (kill own cell, embroyo) & mild typhoid , not certain if these or endometrosis or my anxiety cos my last 2 misc.. FH hormone not high... doc refer me another 2 spcialist to settle the auto immunity & typhoid prob then plan for my next step. i'm so worried i get preg soon last 2 attempt but somehw i felt it wont be so easy this time & i more anxious than last time i worry this will affect.

if you cant talk to hubby write him a letter to share with him that u very much need his support as u very much wish to give him an offspring out of love for him. a child complete a family and provide more topic and life into the marriage. prep him to go for TCM just get him go 1 or 2 times with u , subsequently u can buy medi on his behalf. i know lah man will not bother to do hassle thing like us.
like my hubby he cant quit smoking even though he knew it lower our chance and i worry his health and our bb health. if it's me , tell me dont eat chk forever and i will have a kid i'll do it but will they? i bet not... but i count myself lucky my hubby bother to see tcm and gynae with me. dont give up talking him around and dont despair.... i believe god will pity us someday!!!

Now upset cos hormonal imbalance resulting in outbreaks in face, so even reduce my confidence on life. I began to find it difficult to make myself happy in life.
Maybe you all can share with golden tips with me.

Can u kindly tell me wat's the procedure Dr. Tan will normally do? i was told to go back to him after my AF is clean but i'm station overseas so not sure when's my next appt. will be. When will acupuncture be performed & is his medication easy to take? so far, he only gave me "an-tai yao" but i so blur, i 4got the proportions to take. Can u kindly help me out? TIA

For the An-tai yao is normally to take after ovulation...there are small satchets of powder inside 1 packet - u need to empty all the satchets into 1 cup and add hot water. Must be taken after meals during lunch or dinner time.
As Dr Tan also worried we may suffer from constipation from the heaty powders, he got add in 2 satchets of powder for bowel one (1 pak - empty 1/2 and the other pak 1/3)There is indication on the satchets whether to take 1/2 or 1/3. I am not sure whether u hv the same prescription as me, perhaps u can go take a lok.

I tried once being poked on the ears, stomach & legs area. Each session 20 mins and minimum current will be passed thru. To me, its bearable. For the sake of hving a baby, I can do anything...

me n my wife just started seeing Dr Tan. she just received her first acu n she claimed to be pain. then her stomach area got blue black after the acu.
now we got a little problem, was formerly seeing another chinese doc at her home, she provide massage to prepare my wife's body for baby n with prescribed medicine to brew every night to drink. she claimed that it's dangerous to see other doctors n since my wife already did acu, she will not massage for her anymore as her body condition changed. i do trust her but it's progressing a little slow n she did admit it too. the female doc also claimed that if my wife continues, she will have to sacrifice as her health will deteriorate after birth. the female doc seems confident by saying that if my wife stick to her, she will have a healthy bb.
now so stress, we do not want this to happen n wants to seek advices from both chinese docs but seems like both docs have different opinions.

Did u do any tests before to prove tat u r physically fit to hv a kid?
If u got no plms, then perhaps seeing Dr Tan is not required.
Cos normally TCM will require to c both hubs & wife first, aft tat they will decide whether to cont with either party or both if they gt plms...sometimes is also to "tiao" yr body too..

din do any tests before seeing dr tan but he told me to go test my semen n i did so last monday. waiting for test result n see if problem with me or wife. wat tests need to be done? we already got a 8 year old daughter, does that mean our bodies shld b ok?

O....u already hv an 8 year old daughter...tats good! Sometimes our body will deteriorates as we ages, so its betta to test & get treated if there is any plm.
For guys is normally to test for sperms, tat is SA result.
For women is blood test, tube test, blood test....actually more complicated for women, need to check with gynae..

so wat can be done for male to improve? i saw the taking vitamin E is good for male but not yet start eating as i waiting for my result.
we checked with our family doctor n gynae before, they just simply said we shld mate more frequently. i admit we do not mate often due my work nature but we always try to do it after her menses when she is supposed to be fertile. we just bought the ovulation kit cos my wife period is irregular.

ps dun be demoralised. Be patient & think +ve. Continue with all the vits & TCM both of u are taking rite now. Yes, sickness can afftect the SA results but only temporary. Stress also contribute to a bad SA result so must relax, be happy & think +ve.

Yes, medication can affects SA results..
My DH is under Tribestan & Multi Vit under Dr SF Loh when we decided to do IVF 3 mths ago...unfortunately we hv to onhold the decision now due to unforseen circumstances.
Bt after 2 mths of taking Tribestan & Multi Vit, his motility increased 3 times...though sperm count still low. We not sure whether its mainly due to the drug...bt he nvr tok any TCM & acu before the SA test.
Currently, he is seeing Dr Tan also for weekly acu & medi...hopefully when we are ready for IVF, his soldiers are of betta quality & my body is fit enuff...

not at the moment. Actually, we r station overseas so i'm not sure when's our next trip bk yet. Hope to c Dr Tan again to get medication & prepare our bodies for pregnancy. So far, i only have 'an tai yao' from him. Would like to do acupuncture too but dunno whether my schedule to c him can coincide with my cycle days. C how first la.

Oic...hmm...bt if u really wanna conceive thru the TCM methods, it wld be best tat u cld meet up with the doc every week...Perhaps can check with yr employer whether can station in Singapore for the time being...The more u drag, the more u dun feel like trying anymore and not to forget our body ages everyday...

Hi Calla, sorry i was MIA for sometime. well just seen the thyroid doc, he said my condition is not too bad though got some benign nodes in my throat when he use ultra sound to scan. he didnt think my condition is serious enough to cost 2 misc so back to sq 1 again, just another contributing factors but no main factor sigh....
TCM i have 2 recommendation, one is celebrity TCM chen mei er, u tend to see her name on U magz and some prog. medi reasonable ard $50 for 3 weeks medi unless she prescribe real herb then go up to 100. strictly apptm cos she is damn busy. usually take 1 mth to book her and the on the day u need to wait 2 to 3 hrs... the other one seem to be fsmous for fertitily u can see her other thread in forum, ying chuan medi hall but gotta queue damn early in the morn. $40+ for two week medi. i will try to PM u both the contact details. btw i just read from newspaper few days ago, cashew nut is good for man's sperm!

Calla, u cant accept PM leh... anyway u call the medi hall for details. everspring 62568774 for apptm date, ying chuan 64746966 for addr detail have to go queue no apptm and sinseh say morn pulse more accurate so many swarm to queue ard 5+ and collect queue no. at 6then wait till 8+ 9 see sinseh.

i would really love to c the physician every week if time & place permit but i can't just leave like tat. i'm very sad today 'cos my AF reported. I just dun understand..with correct timing ('cos i checked for ovulation using opks), still unsuccessful...really demoralised now..just feel life's really unfair!!
