I tink I can be like u too la.. My cravings are rising n hb gets shocked each time.. Its not that I'm hungry.. just the cravings make me go nuts if i dun get to eat it.. heez..

Was craving for tau suan again last night ard 9pm. Where to find wor? Hurhur.. Hb drove me to East Coast Food Centre to look for it. And yea.. he somehow regretted telling me thats its opened till ard 11pm.. lolz..

Hmm.. Actually, I've gotten most of bb's stuffs ready le.. so didnt really look into depth..


<u>TAKA BABY FAIR</u>

I'll just roughly state what I can remember...

1) Pigeon Disposable Breast Pads 60+12pcs for $13.90. (Its the one Shelled mentioned earlier.)

2) Pigeon Baby Wipes Chamomile (82s x 3) + Free Box for $10.50. (I bought just 1 pack of 82s with box n it alr cost me $6.32 aft a 20% disc KP was having the other time. $7.90 bef disc.)

3) Philips Avent Express Electric Steriliser is going at ard 20% disc. Taka selling ard $146. Inside the box got 2 milk bottles (125ml n 260ml)n a pair of newborn pacifiers)
-Avent has got other promos n bundle deals.. Can check them out if u want..

4) Beddiebye Zip-Around Safety Blanket selling at $24+. (Mothercare selling at $30.90)

5) Baby Bear Diaper Cover at $6.90. (KP selling $9.20)

~ Stroller section should have some good deals also. I saw the stroller i bought. Outside selling $888 but they are also offering it at $688 just like during the motherhood fair.. So I guess the other strollers should have pretty good deals too.

~ Huggies Diapers are having some promotions but can't remember the details le... Sorry!

taka bb fair> actually not much stuffs to buy. think only good for pple who haven bought cots. de cots very cheap. 399 got so many things, n looks so much nicer den de cot i bought at bb hypermart.

spent abt 230buck at bb fair juz now. bought one set of fisher price cot mobile with a few toys value at 239 for 99.90. initially was thinking of getting the pooh one for 79.90. but decided to get this after seeing it, cos it can cast light effects on de ceiling n oso comes with many song. moreover, got many toys bundled tgt. save me de trouble of lookin for more toys =x

oso bought a blue bumbo chair, some mittens n a cute booties, nappy pin, bb wipes, avent pacifier n 3packs of huggies ultra. lol. basically juz pick up watever stuffs i think i need and watever i tot is cheap =x

now considering whether to get the bb monitor for 498 bucks. tat one too costly. hubby say must consider longer -_-"

i bought the 498 baby video monitor. initially have paid for the 199 avent monitor then hub saw the demo and was impressed. he said more practical cos baby monitor have no uses when kids r older but this video can last a long time somemore can add extra camera for my boys room as well. think it suits me better cos if my gal does have to sleep in her own room alone i can keep a watch on her instead of just hearing her cries. so went to exchange the avent one for this.

i bought my avent dect monitor at motherhood fair for 249 i think. yest at taka fair also selling that pricing, or is it 240 i cant remember. the other one usual price 249 selling for 199. actually the 199 one good enough leh cos u dun need see the temperature setting on the baby unit. the parents unit ccan see good enough

yes i tried in my gal's room on 3rd floor can recv v clearly on first floor. night vision also clear. my only complain is they dun have talk back function like the avent. cos at times when my gal cries in her room i can tell her mommy is coming up then at least she knows i heard her.

put in ur car? how to? the camera not pinhole leh quite big! and need to plug into power supply
 
Hi Mummies! Wow.. one day didn't log in, only to realise so many updates of mummies popping... So excited and happy for all.
I just went for my checkup this morning.. at 38weeks 6 days. Baby has put on an astonishing 500g from 2.6kg the last time to 3.175kg today. Dr Wong gave me a shocked expression and asked what did I eat... The thing is, I didn't eat durain or what leh... just the usual stuff. While I put on 300g, so I presume baby "steal" 200g of my fat away.. wahaha.... Dr Wong said that I still have amniotic fluid, no dialation, cervix shut tight, bb's head although overturned but still not as low as it should be.. She also mentioned that I should start watching what i eat because bb absorbs damn well! And that i should start to exercise more, do more squats and have more intercourse to naturally induce labour.. She mentioned that if overdue, I may have a hard time pushing.. and because it's only another 10 days or so away from my edd, she said better pray quick quick natural, otherwise may consider inducing...
I don't think i want to induce... would rather it be overdue.. but Dr Wong also mentioned that if overdue, bb might grow to be around 3.4 - 3.5kg... which seems to be quite big..
Dr has officially asked me to watch what I eat, no more sweet, oily items, am asked to walk 2 hrs each day to promote labour...
Mummies, now I feel so stressed... Aiyoh.. I'm praying that I will be 2 days overdue and bb comes out on the 9/09/09.. hehe.. Hopes her weight stays pretty much the same and that labour comes naturally for me (I really dun wan to induce as I heard ppl saying inducing is alot more painful that natural)

How come yours need to csec? Saw your edd is on the 23 sep? Pardon me if you've already explained earlier but I missed it. How I wish mine wants to automatic come out soon... Dr say until i also feel so stressed! Your bb very smart wor... still in womb already know how to tell mummy what he wants.. waahhaa... I think my girl is lazy and likes to eat one lor... lol.. She hiccups very frequently throughout the day... Must be anticipating to eat even before she comes out. haha.. Hesitating want to go taka fair or not. Today is Sat, got a feeling that its gonna be crowded. Will i get to meet other mummies who are going to Taka Fair today as well?

another reason is hubby going overseas on 16oct. den if he go overseas den, scare is during my confinement period, den no one to help me, den with CL ard n wanting to go back ard dat period, who's gonna send her off?

Hmmm are baby monitors necessary? as in a need? I was thinking, if my friends buy me the combi baby chair, i can roll my bb around with me around the house XD

Thinking of going down to check out Taka fair later :p maybe get some newborn clothes + booties @ bugis to pack into hospital bag as well hehee cham got so many things to do!!

I think I'm having blocked ducts now on my left breast. Somemore got 2 of them leh. So sad. Whenever I touch the lumps, it feels sore and hard. Most probably will call TMC parent craft for an appt to clear the ducts on Monday. Hopefully, it goes away after that.

Hi all,

As promised, this is my birth story to share with all mummies:-

13 Aug 09, 4+am – Waterbag burst and water starts dripping. As I'm not sure whether it's waterbag burst, so called gynae to check. Was asked to be admitted to hospital in 2 hrs time.

Finally reached TMC at about 6am and was admitted as gynae called TMC to inform them to admin me. Then the mid wife did a VE for me and said that I'm not dilated yet.

At about 9+am, my gynae, Dr Wong came to check on me and said that I'm 1-1.5cm dilated. She put me on drip and my long waiting process started.

At about 11am, I started to feel the contractions coming in but they're still bearable so did not want to take epidural yet.

2pm in the afternoon, I've decided to take epidural as I know that I still have a long way to go and afraid that I might not be able to have the strength to push when its time to start push. After the epidural starts to take effect, the rest of the time I'm quite relaxed.

I'm 6cm dilated at about 4pm and by 6pm, the mid wife did a VE for me and I’m 8cm dilated. Was told that I'll most probably be ready to push at about 8pm.

By 7+pm, I've having a feeling that I want to poo. Asked the mid wife about this and she said that it's most probably be due to the head of my gal pressing. By about 8pm, the feeling is getting stronger and more frequently. At this time, I'm 10cm dilated and is waiting for Dr Wong to come. The mid wife starts to ask me to push. Just as my epidural is using up soon, Dr Wong came and I started to push.

At 8.35pm, my baby gal arrived to this beautiful world weighing 2.74kg.

juz visited gynae today.. bb's head finally engaged!! but fr side profile of e scan, bb looks like he has thick lips! worried coz hubby has angelina jolie type lips.. luckily gynae says most bb like to pout inside e womb.. dunno hw true..

bot alot of those Avent creams for bb.. massage gel, spf block, bottom bum, moisturiser etc.. realised i bot a bit too much cream.. oops..

there were many cots.. so cute.. too bad i oredi bot my cot liao..

the baby fair was damn crowded!!! i also just came home. i spent only $100ish at the fair cos they didnt sell some of the big items that i wanted to get. wanted to get a bb pouch but the designs there were so limited and obiang. wanted to get a stroller pad also, but aprica didnt stock theirs at the booth and i couldn't find anything suitable. in the end, i bought lots of huggies ultra (free story books for #1), pigeon wipes, organizer for my car's back seat, newnborn clothes, some child safety clasp - so overall not a wasted trip.

i only bought 3 packs to get the books and free pull up pants. cos i dun buy toys often for my #1. will prob do the same for #2. in fact, other than the soft toys he sleeps with, the number of toys we have in our dover house can count with 10 fingers. you want the barcodes from the 3 huggies ultra packs that i have? we could do a swap with the free huggies pull up pants or the fourth story book that i didn't get (jack and the beanstalk). i'm staying over at my mum's place tonight. so if you reply me by tomorrow (assuming that you want to do the swap), i can bring it over to your block tomorrow?
