Good morning mummies!
Didn't sleep well last night, woke up at 4am. When I fell asleep again, it's already 7am and my elder one has to prepare to cc....super tired.
Azel, hmm...maybe it's engaged. That's false contraction, my tummy was tightening like some small hills (seems that BB also tensed).
Dreambig, i was checked at 36+wks. Not sure what it's the normal timing to check dilation but for my case, it's bcoz i experienced preterm labor two months ago, so my gynae is very cautious, he wanted to make sure if I can hold until full term.

Same as your colleague, i hv been on hospitalization leave since Feb. Initially i was worried about performance, but after weighing the consequences I have 'fang kai'

Hi Katie, ya the gynae said have to treat it before giving birth just in case it ends up in the bb's mouth and might not be good. Apparently, it cant be treated by antibiotics. Mine has to be treated by inserting the tablet. Hopefully it clears up soon as I am at 36 weeks coming to 37.
I hope your bb turns soon! keep talking to bb..

KaTie: my colleague told me that sometime the medicine does not fully clear the bowel wor. Haha. Hmmm lying on a wet sheet during delivery is really uncomfortable.
You are reaching week 34, bb still hav time to turn the head.

I had a lot of contractions last night that my hubby started timing them n they were in intervals of around 10 to 15 mins. Luckily it was just false contractions. Baby was super active. Not that I m complaining cos I rather baby be active than quiet...
Not sure if it's normal, but my gynae have not done any test so far for me except ultrasound , usual urine test n blood pressure. N ctg scan only last week cos baby movement reduced. You guys seem to have other tests which I don't. Makes me wonder if I m missing out on something....

Thanks Katie, I already feel the pain coming now tat water bag is burst n I m on drip. But later will be much painful so now I conserve my energy.

Hope this high blood thingy doesn't stay with me too long. Bb is still in breech position at 35 weeks and maybe I should also sayang her more and ask her to turn down soon if not I have to do c-sec.

Its getting more and more exciting hearing mummies gg into delivery.
I just went for checkup w Gynae this afternoon. She suggested to induce as my hubby having his exams the next 2 weeks. She said I might deliver on the day he is having his paper. But I scare induce more painful and if not successful have to c sect. Scary!

Thanks. I m done . Water bag burst at 140pm n waited hr plus for dilation. Bb out fast at 3.50 pm.
Now enjoying the peace without the pain. Bb is small at 2.62 kg n it's my second so it's so much easier.
Now everyone giving attention to new bb , I worry abt my no 1 n her feelings .

I'm gg to do my epi CSec this sat. Counting down 2more days. Edd was on 3rd may. Don't know I can take the epi CSec due to my bend spine. Want to heard the baby first cry! Must depend on the anesthesia approval. If cannot then take GA.

Meow, I sleep on left side every day yet the last checkup bb still in breech position. So hoping bb can turn head down soon.
Had very bad backache yesterday thought could be sign of labour but still early so must wait till early May.
R c, confinement starts. Rest n relax well. Get 1st child to be involved with this new member.

Hi all mummies, I am new here but been silent reader for a while. I am currently week 35 pregnant with my first baby and Doc advice might deliver early by week 38/39. Due to some reason I just managed applied my own house and shifted about Feb this year. Therefore last few months was busy for house shopping and issue. Now just about settle down to prepare for baby items.
Believe I have missed quite number of useful information for the past chat, hope you gals don’t mind can still share for some information with me.
1. Any recommendation of sterilizer for baby milk bottle? Avent, Pigeon or brand is more cost effective and useful?
2. If necessary to buy breastfeeding pump now? Although I am very keen to have breastfeed but really subject if have the supply. As my sister and also some colleagues do not really have the supply after give birth therefore just wonder if need to invest a good breastfeeding pump at current stage or I should get it after deliver? If so, what are the brands that can recommend?

welleegoh, i am not sure whether other mummies discussed about the issues before as I also join here recently. But i think it really depends on individuals.
1. I used Luckybaby before, it's good, big capacity. And now I've got a hand-me down (Pigeon), can only put two bottles but compact and easy to use. As I will juz use it for the first six months, it's good enough for me.
2.Some mummies said that the initial supply is normally low but we have to keep pumping or latching on...then the supply will grow. Juz stay positive and determined. For me, I bought a used one (single) previously as I wasn't sure whether it's necessary. In the end, I gave up coz i thot my supply was low and I got infection. This time round, I hope I manage to breastfeed my baby for at least six months, so I've bough dual electrical pump to try.
That's all i can share.

I'm also a first time mother. I bought Avent Sterilizer as seems to have good reviews, and for the shape compared to Pigeon it's easier for us to store at home. I haven't tried using it yet so can't give my opinion on the usage though.
Breast pumps I think it's quite subjective, as a good one like Medela PISA is quite costly. Though a lot of people resell it when they stop breastfeeding or give up. The initial stages of breastfeeding will be difficult bah from what I read... must persevere!

me too... i bought avent warmer and sterilizer plus freestyle breastpump based on my friend's recommendation.
I think pigeon should be good too!

For the breastpump, another reason also quite hestitate to invest for good one as my office do not have proper room to pump after my maternity leave...
My office also have long travel distant to home, not convenient to bring it home after working hour.
