I'll be heading over to Dr Khi's tmr to induce, afraid of ageing plancenta, cord around the neck and the baby getting too big. So I'll be at the clinic at 9am and again at 6pm and see from there, might pop before the weekend

Going out tonight for a nice dinner

and gotta shower my two furkids so they're all clean when I bring home the baby.

P.S I'm hoping for a miracle and she'll surprise me today.

dear marie,
the doctor advised you to induce cos of aging placenta? when i went to see my doctor yesterday, my 37 week visit, she also says that there's signs of placenta aging. actually, she's been saying that for the last 2 visits. but she says it isn't critical, so can wait. but yesterday, she says if it gets worse, she'll want to deliver me. i'm seeing her next tuesday again. hmm... i don't know what i'm in for.

My apologies... I also got "cheated" in a way.

I finally persuaded hb to let me go for BW. So quickly called Honeypot on 31st Aug to make an appt to do BW the next day. Then I asked the lady if there is any discounts avail. She say got 15% for BW lo. But she nv mentioned it was the last day liao. Their webby also nv state. Haiz...

I went for my BW yest, then was charged the normal price at the end of it. Then I asked n was told the promo ended on 31st Aug... all look at me "gong" "gong".. sick right? Lanlan gotta pay the full price.. Stupid lo...

Updates from Gynae Visit Yesterday...

Yeah! I cleared my Strep B test. Results is normal. Phew!
BB is now ard 3.12kg at 37wks2days. Head engaged liao. Now gotta start counting her movements daily. Am also given my admission letter le.

Its been getting more n more uncomfortable each day. My gal has been pushing real hard down below. V area very very sore, BH is stronger n more frequent also. Just that its not regular yet. So now just waiting for her to pop lo.

Em, I also duno when is the best time to BW. But I believe it depends on individual ba. I did it yest liao. Not really very painful to me la. Just a few pulls at the more sensitive area in the middle that made me go "OUCH!" hurhur~ Overall pretty bearable. So far, waterbag haven break leh.. heez..

It seems like baby does not want to drink at all

I am unable to have successful BF since yesterday...he seems to always be sleeping - tickle or ka jiao him...he also not interested...quite worried and thinking if i should give formula instead

see the mummy beside me BF until so suang...i abit lost hope...

Congrats on the arrival of your baby!

Try using damp towel to wipe baby's face to wake him up. Can also try holding him upright so it's not so comfy to sleep. My boy also don't respond to tickling, or even when we shake his arms/legs, and even wet towel to face also no use! So you're definitely not alone when it comes to having sleepy BF babies.

Meanwhile can try to pump if really cannot wake baby. At least keep the milk supply going.

i c-sec via epidural...there is still pain now but bearable...just able to walk out of bed abit today...yesterday was a total no no cos the ops ended at ard 4.30pm and no food and drinks till this morning...all drip the whole nite.

adeline lye-if u feel more at ease testing for Strep B then can request ur gynae to do it for u. btw why do u need to be induced? i m reaching 39wks soon n oso afraid gynae might wanna induce me if bb grows too big.

Hi mampoko,

My baby is 3.2kg when he was 36 weeek 6 day. And due to previous pregnancy, I scare my baby will poo in the water bag again. If he is now of good weight and in full term, I dont mind to deliver him earlier as I dont want to take any risk.

Yeah. Most probably will ask my gynae to do the test for me before I go for my induction next monday. Not sure if can know the result in time or not because my next checkup on coming friday.

is anyone processing own placenta for consumption? i hv asked around and most reactions i got was.. euck!!! if eating placenta can improve skin and healthier body, i dont mind.. =)

Mucus plug is really mucus lor. Machiam clear mucus that you blow out from your nose. May be tinged with streaks of blood.

Mucus Plug can be discharged from days to weeks before labor even starts. So don't panic yah? If in doubt, call your gynae and ask if there's a need to bring forward your c-sec date lor.

adeline lye-ic. wow..ur bb is big leh! i hv a feeling tat my gynae might suggest inducing bb as well. my 1st one was 3kg at birth so juz nice nt too big. dunno hw heavy is tis 2nd one nw. will oni knw tis fri. i hope i'll pop within these few days!

ah goh-my bb oso breech at 36wks. my gynae did ECV for me too coz she said most likely bb won't turn by himself already. no pain n oni took 5-10mins. aft tat u shud b put on CTG to monitor bb movement. if ur gynae is experienced in such procedure, u need nt worry.

This thread is getting more and more exciting.. What does it mean if V area very sore. Actually, I hadn't really experience extreme soreness of that area until recently. As I am really putting in a lot of effort in daily brisk walks, yesterday when I came back from my walk until now, my V area is damn sore. Like got "orh chei" that kinda feeling. As if someone box it until blueblack that kind of soreness wor... Does it mean bb lowering? Wah liao... I'm really anxious leh. Any mummies could advise? I know it's not over exercise, cause my legs and feets feel sore but it's the muscle sore from exercise type. So it's different..
