Shook, no offence ok... you sound a bit agitated.
Soyabean,
I know lah, that time I went Perth while TBFing so simple compared to our Chiang Mai trip in October. And the Bintan trip in early December and tomorrow's trip! Ian's stuff in one trolley bag liao! Still gotta bring his toy truck, spade, rake, watering can... aiyoh...
Shook, I am not pro chemicals lah... I am one of those who doesn't take supplements at all till I got pregnant and took Obimin, believe it or not. I didn't even take iron pills after blood donation. I think you gotta be careful about the info you can get on the WWW nowadays. Not everything posted is credible and can be quoted as the truth. There must be sufficient evidence to support the claims.
Cod liver oil is processed food mah... everything we have around us is processed, even bread. The job of the liver is to clear toxins, so if toxins like drugs are taken in overdose, the liver gets "hit' first. May I know where is the article? I could go read to understand better what you are talking about. On call tonight in hospital.
Of course it's up to parents whether or not they want to give supplements... I'm not saying they must... that's why I don't give Ian the multivit religiously cos I know his diet is balanced.
Giggler, Ian takes Kiddy Pharmaton multivit syrup (when I remember to give) *hehehe* and off on and on, my mum gives him Delrosa.
Hazey, I agree with Shook that berries should be introduced later, after 1 year old usually. Delay if suspect might have allergy. I took the risk and offered it to Ian when we were in Perth when he was 6 months cos the strawberries were too good to miss and he seemed so keen to try! Luckily no adverse reaction and he's hooked on them since... hehehe... haven't tried blueberries though... dunno whether he'll like them. =p *tempted to try*
StyloBB,
haven't tried giving Ian jambu... I should try! So juicy... hmm.. good suggestion... I like them myself but not that easy to find leh.. last time my grandma stayed in kampong in Woodlands we had this jambu tree, but always eaten by insects... hard to find intact ones. So to me, intact jambu are VERY precious, hehehe... nowadays those on sale are so perfect! Though not very sweet lah...
