Zika

Hello all,

I've got one embryo left to transfer but I don't know how I feel about it given the zika risk in Singapore.

The zika hype has died down but am I not correct to assume that the risk is still very much here. I'd love to here what people's thoughts are regarding zika in Singapore and TTC as I can't seem to find any chat forums about it.

Have there been any cases of microcephaly as a result of zika here?

Do IVF clinics test for infection before undergoing treatment and are people testing throughout their pregnancies

Actually I would have thought that the risk of Zika is rather small here in Singapore?

Are you staying near Serangoon area? I think this is the only Zika cluster here currently.

Maybe you can wear covered clothings and apply insect repellant to protect yourself against mosquito bites?

So do you mean that if we avoid zika cluster areas there is no real risk of zika? I'm not near serengoon but I get bitten quite a bit.

I'm Glad that other people ttc in Singapore aren't worried.

Does anyone know if the babies of mothers who gotten last year are healthy?
