What would you Do??

Hi all Moms and MTBs. Let me describe a scenario ive witnessed last night. What would u do?

I was having dinner with my husband's cousin,cousin in law (couple without kids) as well as 2 friends (a couple) with a 20-month yo son. Before dessert, the parents decide to have a puff with my husband and left the bb with the cousins and me. the cousin (guy) started pushing the pram ard vivocity like a madman, doing sharp turns, hitting at corners and basically doing mad stunts with a PRAm. That wasnt all. At the dessert place, he started whacking the bb's head, face, body with the menu.Using ADULT strength!

During this time ive been asking him to stop but to no avail and at the restaurant, the pple ard us were alrdy looking and I told him it's child abuse and i shielded the kid qt a few times but he kept on whacking. and exclaimed "the kid's parents not ard faster smack!" my heart sunk. He added that "kids at this age wont remember one la!" (Young BB wont remember, does it mean they can't FEEL??)

I feeel utterly disgusted. What say you??

I wld take the menu and smack on his head instead and say, "your parents not here so I better smack u now!!"

fairytale1982 i told the father when they got home.. coz the relationship with my husband (they r his cousins) is very sensitive. really hope the parents will be more careful and not leave the son alone with them anymore. (the cousins are the son's godparents sumore!) Boy! was i worried!!!!
got a feeling the father find me paranoid and should not be overprotective (aftrall he's a boy)
and may feel tt im over reacting just coz im expecting.

really sick in the mind!!

I agree with sane! Any sane (no pun intended) person wld tell the person off as well.

im thinking what i should do the next time i see them doing that again to other kids.. or even MINe!!!! how heartbreaking!!! that's the thing about ignorant and stubborn relatives!!! how to go about protecting besides staying w the kid all the time.

It's not sensitive or whatever... It's safety. Don't ever underestimate the force can cause any kind of damage to a bb. Remember there was a case the pram pushed by a toddler then the bb fell n died. Just stop him. That's all.
You mean cousin... Har? How old is he? He brainless one? Hit bb with meun n doing stunts with the pram? That is too much.

That cousin no brain, must scold him and whack him! Even if relative do that to my son, i will also tell him off and make sure he not near my son anymore!
