What to put into the hospital bag?

Hi,

I'm a first time mum and now currently 33 weeks pregnant. I would like to know normally what things all mummies will put into their hospital bag that they will bring during delivery.

I can't remember exactly what needs to be brought in. I believe the hospital that you will be delivering in or your gynae should be able to give you some advice on this. But from what I can remember:
- Your NRIC & Spouse NRIC (esp if you are going to register your child's BC immediately)
-Hospitalisation/delivery forms and/or any other medical information that you are given by the Gynae
-Your discharge clothes
-Clothes for baby to wear back home and probably a blanket or something similar to swaddle baby
-Diapers and sanitary pads (unless you are certain that hospital will provide)
-Books or something for yourself to listen to music or keep yourself entertained while waiting for delivery or if you happened to be bored while in hospital

This is what I can remember for now. Anyone with more information, please help to add on.

Adding on to littleG list would be
- mitten and botties for bb
- camera to take photo
- charger (hp plus camera)
- disposable panties (cotton would be more comfortable)
- nursing bra
- PJ (if deliver at pte hospital, i think kkh provide)

actually diapers and sanitary pads, i did not bring since hospital sure provide. Some will bring breastpump but i will advise against it since you can rent one from hospital. I rent the medela bp at $25 for the entire stay. They will wash and sterilise for you. very convienent.

Hi,

yasminelala, which hospital were you at? I'm delivering at KKH so wondering if you know what brands of breast pump KKH has for rental.

Thanks in advance
