Spotting during 1st trimester


For me yes im having spotting, so gynae ask me to bed rest till 3 mths when bb is more stable. So i been MC etc during my 1st trim. I have do some research, spotting is common but also dangerous. So best pls consult your gynae.
 
i had brown discharge during my 1st trimester,gynae mentioned it "old blood" that utherus is trying to get rid of.
but always check with gynae,even the smallest matter. :)
 
I have spotting. Went for scan and can't detect anything
They suspect is early pregnancy.
I'm quite worried :(
Period is due 11 sept. Spotting started 13 sept
Just one or two drips of blood only a day
 
I had brown spotting for 3 weeks. Gynae prescribed me hormone pills. Now its all gone. They initially suspected a polyp.

I had 3 days brown spotting too. Now dont know to c gynae for check ma cos still early stage around 5 week only
 
You should go see your gynae, even if your spotting stopped eventually. At least to have a peace of mind. I had brown spotting from week 4 to week 6. Apparently it was due to an infection from the crinone I was using during the 2WW. The gynae will be able to check if your cervix is opened or closed to assess if you are experiencing threatened miscarriage and if further support is required. My spotting stopped after my gynae checked me. Most importantly, you should rest and stay positive!
 
I started sporting yst and some cramp, headed to gynae and he not very positive about it, my sac seem to decrease in size, rather upset
 
Hi januzehl.. sorry to hear that. Be strong ya. If its an unhealthy pregnancy. I rather u find out now than mid term. That will be even more painful to go through. When is ur next check up?
 
If u count by LMP u usually gotta deduct 2 weeks cos of Ovulation will only happens 2 weeks after menses date.

My 1st pregnancy. I was 5 weeks and saw a sac but no fetus pole or yolk. Waited another 3 weeks and by 8 weeks confirm can see heartbeat but what I saw was just a sac and nothing else. Went for 2nd opinion and indeed, sac continue to grow but baby stop at a dot. So I did D&C om the very day. I was spotting since I tested positive. From light to heavy bleeding and crampy so I know cannot save le.
 
My cycle Usually 32 days, last mens was 12 oct, I jus Hope spotting will cease and I will see heartbeat in another 2weeks. @shirleyten, is that ur 2nd preg? I saw ur bb pic on ur profile
 
This is my third. 2 losses. 2nd one is chemical pregnancy. I was 32 days cycle too. I am in Aug 2014 mommies group but my girl decided to see thr world on 23 Jul. My supposed edd was 8 Aug.

I know it's pretty hard to relax now but don't stress yourself too much. Pregnancy is one thing we cannot control. Leave it to god. If its urs its urs. After 2 losses throughout 4 yrs.. I also see very open. My third pregnancy, once I test positive, I waited for 1 mth later to go see gyane. Determined to see the heartbeat cos I know if I go early. . Its all on waiting game. And I spent alot running back and fro gyane clinic.

1st tri - u scare of not seeing heartbeat
2nd tri - u scare u have bad oscar and detailed scan results
3rd tri - u scare ur baby don't move

Soooo many stages of worries. So u gotta be strong ya..

I know taking it like a pinch of salt is impossible but it is what it is. We cannot control fate.
 
I had spotting during my 6-9th wk of preg, gynae said it was subchorionic haematoma, meaning a bld clot just next to my placenta. Kept bleeding red fresh blood, but everytime rush to gynae, baby's heartbeat still there. Lots of scares, and visits to emergency in wee hrs of morning. But after 9 wks, less spotting, and throughout rest of preg, everything ok and normal, gave birth to normal healthy baby.
 
Once u got heartbeat, the risk of miscarriage eventually reduced by half. I guess many have spotting in the beginning of pregnancy even before heartbeat was detected. For me.. twice it happens and I don't even have a edd or a ultrasound scan picture. However. . Every individual is different. What happen to me may not fall on u nor I pray that nobody should go through losses. Nevertheless. Nothing is impossible and miracle does happen. Don't jump into conclusion before gyane confirms anything. Always remember. Happy Mummy happy baby.

I agreed. I have 2 chemical pregnancies also in Jan n Mar, I got preggie in Apr, edd in Jan 15.
After my 2nd chemical pregnancy, doc ask me to do a blood test to see if I have any medical program and I discover I had Protein S deficiency (sticky blood). Am on daily jabs to thin my blood since 18wks till birth.
like u said, I really worried from 1st to 3rd tri. :p 1st tri is the hardest to get thru..

I remembered I ask god.. "if u decided to give a child.. make sure he/she stays this time". And she did. Jia You.
 
Hi Mummies.. i am in my 6 weeks of pregnancy.. and i have been having spotting since 2weeks ago.. and i have went to KKH O&G.. but the dr there told me its normal and make an appt for me to see gynae on 19jan.. but actually i am quite worried.. does anyone have similar experience?
 
@xjintingx , i had similar spotting too in my 6-8weeks. Last quite long (2-3weeks) but it was pink/brownish color. Went KKH and was told the same thing too. Now no more such spotting. If not bleeding like period, it should be still fine.. pls keep monitoring..
 
Ur gyane didn't do a scan for u?? 19 is very long consider u will be abt 9 weeks?
Now u should be taking folic and utrogen since u r spotting and a prosteronge jab to support the pregnancy? I had two dosage when I got preg.

I did a scan 2weeks ago.. and the dr in KKH say is too small to see anything at that point of time.. she did not give me any photo.. she just say mine is not bleeding and spotting is normal and ask me tcu 2-3weeks later.. and she only given me folic acid and nth else..
 
2 weeks ago is 4 weeks confirm cannot see anything. Not even a sac as its still early. I feel u should walk into a gyane and do a scan as now u should be able to see heartbeat by week 6 or 7 onwards. Depending when u ovulate as well. So to have a peace of mind till 19 Jan which is 11 days away.. walk in and do a check ba. During my first trimester. My gyane appt is two week once up to week 13 after Oscar. 2nd tri then become 1 mth once.

Sometimes spotting is due to the implantation of the embryo or clearing old blood in the womb.
Perhaps u might to request for duphaston and folic later. No carrying of heavy stuff, rest well and avoid cold drinks and tea.
 
Hi, I'm new here. currently at 5-6 weeks now. I have brown discharge for about a week now and have been on bed rest since the first discharge was discovered. Every slightest pain in my tummy and brown discharge would make me worried.. Hope the brown discharge will stop soon.. Next Gynae appointment is in 2 weeks' time.. Praying for the heartbeat.
