Hi all mummies

In summary,

- sme company, w them for 2 yr
- last pregnancy Before me in this company was 9 yr ago so I got no one to compare or assist. my first pregnancy.
-Call mom before, found it horrible when say need 6 mth before case solve. ( bb already out, financial unstable occurred so pointless n hang on )
- all along in sale position, in a negative, fighting alone n inhumanity environment for that 9 month
-encounter Bleeding first tri, cried a lot n mild depression ( hubby not aware)
- need to be strong for bb n back Up
- study acca during pregnancy. Feel that acct line no age limit.
- change in character since then. Bubbly me had gone. Got phobia in outdoor job now.
- not afraid to start from scratch since hubby is understanding on this n give support.
- really dun wanna face the employer anymore But job search is not looking good ...
-will be back on mid June - 2 weeks notice required ( want to tender upon first day of work)
- sending resume for 2 months - part/ full time - admin / acct / sale role (a few ) no response except 1 ( semi govt company)

Does any one encounter career switch or still finding job after maternity? If yes how many mths before u got a new job?

Other than " career progression or career switch reason" any other reason can use?

Co's many ask why change tell them real reason n no return call. Any advise on this?

Hope to get some advice / suggestion.

Appreciate much

Just a qn. Why did you call MOM? As in you wanted to make a complaint about your company?

You may tell the prospective employers you need a more stable job (as in more desk bound, less client meeting, morr stable income) since you have now 2 kids. Also looking for a career change since have been in sales line for your entire working life.

Job market has been poor recently. HR friends told me. So don't fret.. just keep on sending resume. I'm sure you'll get a job soon.

God bless

Cos that period after telling them I am pregnant... their attitude change n as I said no one to discuss or ask cos nobody pregnant in this company so seek mom help... not complaint... be4 preggy.. company treat me not bad...after pregnant...360 degree change...

Hi there, I started my job search right after my confinement ended. Similar to your case, the nice working environment suddenly changed right after I shared with my ex-boss that I was pregnant. I used varied reasons depending on the position they are recruiting for. For example, if it was a role which requires working out of normal office hours e.g. investigation officer, obviously I would not cite work life balance as the reason. However, if you are keen on such roles, you can use reasons such as change in job scope, career switch which was relevant to the part time studies e.g. acca which you've pursued.

A few other reasons I've used were travelling distance were shorter as I need to pick up my child from infantcare / nanny or if there's public sector positions, you can quote work life balance, better fringe benefits for family etc.

Hope this helps :)
