Range from 8 to 17mm. Feel like going forward with it. Anything that can prevent OHSS?

Sounds dangerous. Safer to go with FET next round.
Ohss is no joke according to previous sisters I heard from. Have to keep making trips to a&e, not to mention the physical n mental strain.
Better to let embbies grow in a comfy envt. IMHO
 
Hi hi, I am currently planning to do ivf. I had four cycle of iui. In my last cycle iui, it was by a trainee doc.

I would like to check. For subsidised patient in nuh doing ivf; will there be trainee doctors doing the scanning, ER, ET etc? I have some budget concern and hence didnt plan to upgrade.

I am worry that it will be like my iui where the trainee does the job. In a recent occasion, where there was a near mistake in iui procedure. An earlier occassions, encounter in G clinic where she made one mistake and secondly an event where eventually took over by senior doctor. I think someone in this forum also encounter problem with this trainee.

Now I very worried if I see the trainee for ivf. Can anyone advice? I don't mind any "stable doctor" in fact all the doctors are good. Jus this particular one I am very worried about.

Can someone advice the procedure etc for the subsidised patient please?

From what I understand, subsidized patients won't get to see a fixed doctor, whether or not a trainee dr will do the procedure, I'm not sure.

I think very much also depends on whether the period you're on the ivf journey coincides with the clinical attachment of those trainee doctors?

Hi Babyluck... i wanted to start on medicated fet, but changed our minds. We decided on natural fet instead. We're cycle buddies! When is ur estimated et?

I know it is very upsetting and disappointed to delay and do fet instead. But ohss is a serious condition. Let's just put it this way... we've waited for so long, 1~2 more months delay won't make much a difference. In the meantime, give your body a chance to rest and go acupuncture/tcm to tiao the body.
 
Hello everyone, anyone on FET and taking progynova here? I finished mercilon on 14 Oct. Menses supposed to come anytime (suspect either tomorrow or Monday will be the first day). I can't recall if I'm supposed to start progynova on the first day of my menses (the paper seems to say so). Since NUH CHR will be closed tomorrow, I wanted to check with everyone here if you know when to start taking the progynova tab. Thanks!

I had 31 follicles and 16 retrieved. Before the retrieval, Prof also highlighted the risk of OHSS. His advice was to do a FET but he was ok to do the ET for me after OR if I insisted. However I think it is not worth the risk. The embryo will need a healthy environment to grow so I think it is better to let the body recuperate than to rush the process. After my OR, I experienced cramps/pulling sensation in my tummy so I was glad I didn't go ahead with the ET immediately. The bloating went away after my menses came and I didn't develop OHSS.

Wow 16 eggs retrieved. How many embryos did u have?
What stimulation drugs were u on?

I went for bloodtest on Day1 of menses. Was told to start progynova on Day2.
 
Hi ladies, is there any possibility that clearblue test kit indicate positive but blood test result negative? I never had hcg trigger, i was triggered with suprefact.

Usually bloatness and cramps come after ER?

Is there many visits required for FET like the fresh?

In the end, doc/prof said to see the results after ET and decide further.

Going for ER tomorrow ...

No not as many. Maybe 3-4 visits? So far I've only been for one jab, going back Tuesday for blood test.

In the end, doc/prof said to see the results after ET and decide further.

Going for ER tomorrow ...

@mnadz01 How is your mild ohss? Is it better already? Have you done your BT?

@pammm You started your nor-e already? Is this your first fresh cycle? Are you with Prof Wong? Don’t worry about public holidays, they will adjust the ER and ET accordingly.

@SonyStar Any update? You are due for your BT soon right? Or already did?

Yeah just completed. Retrieved 19, don't know the quality though. Very hungry! Doctor ordered progesterone jab everyday to prevent OHSS ? Anyone on that before?

Me had that jab on butt (500proluton if it's the same), but was only twice a week after bfp & not cos of ohss risk.
Honestly that jab hurts! But after 3-4 jabs will get used to it.
