PD in Jurong areak

Hi mummies,

Can I check if u have recommendation for any good PD pref in Jurong area?
I have shortlisted a few

Anne's Baby & Child Clinic
Kidslink

Can any1 share if any PDs fr these clinics r good?

Personally I prefer Anne's Baby & Child clinic. Dr Tay is patient to hear any queries. Not rushing for time. medicine is cheaper as compared to Kidslink. The waiting area is big and there is a slide in it for children to play while waiting for their turns.

As for Kidslink, the clinic is always full & waiting time is long. Although you may call for appointment, you may still wait for around 20 mins. Dr Heng sometimes dun hear your queries and rushing for time. He can listen to my queries & responding to his incoming messges in his iphone. Hmm, dont seems quite professional.

Just my 2 cents of thots.

I prefer Anne's Baby & Child Clinic too and the nurses and dr is nice! But her medication dun really work for my girl so I went to another pd clinic at Railmall,
I have very bad experience at Kidslink & I stopped ever since. Although his prescription is better than Anne's and works better.
But the Pd there is so rude and impatient...and always give me a feeling that I asked "STUPID" question. Once after the check up he can't wait to send me off but I asked him the last question.... I told him my girl keep digging her ears and can he help me check? He give me that "ROLL eye" look...and guess what..he say "OK LO..u want me to check I check" take a scoop and a plastic thingy....then very very impatiently just TAKE A LOOK and then he fling the plastic thingy back at the Sink behide him and say OK! DONE! I am sooo soooo offended!

Today (22/12/14) I had a very bad experience at Kidslink clinic (Jurong East Branch). I stay around Jurong West extentsion but as this clinic medicine proved effective for my son’s prolonged cough previously and after seeing 2 doctors near my house, my son can't seem to get well so I’ve no choice but to go to Kidslink. I took a bus there early in the morning.

I went there once but dislike the service. My sister kept saying that it’s very good. I agreed the medicine is quite good as it is a bit different from the normal PD which I had always visited.

My past experience - waiting time is too long (can be up to 2 hours) Due to that I have to go early like 8.30-8.45 am before they open at 9am and much more expensive than any other PD.

The first time I went, reached around 8.45am. The Kidslink’s 2 nurses are inside talking and laughing. They did not even ask us to go in to register us first but rather let us mums with their sick children to wait and queue outside under the morning sun as the clinic entrance is directly facing towards it.

They only ask us to come in after Dr. Heng stroll in at 9.15am. The nurses are young and not friendly at all. They have got the one kind problematic attitude towards customers. Worse as Dr. Heng is the type who doesn’t bother to talk so much to you. He doesn’t seem to care what customers are saying and always say otherwise as his name is known to be popular as he is from K.K hospital previously.

This morning I took morning leave from work to bring my son to Kidslink to treat his prolonged cough. I reach around 8.30am. Opening hours is 9am. Another mum also reaches at that timing so we waited under the hot sun again. Around 9 am, the shutter is still closed and behind me there are another 3 more family with their kids.

On the wall beside the clinic there is a notice showing the clinic will be closed from 24th-27th of December as the doctor is on leave. But no mention that there are closed today. (By the way this clinic seems to be always closed. I’ve tried previously to see the doctor at 7pm, when I reached there is a note saying clinic is closed today).

All of us waited till 9.15am, 9.30am and it’s still closed. I had queued there for an hour under the sun and my son became lethargic.

At 9.40am. One of the nurse strolled in wearing sexy clothes with thick makeup carrying a Marc Jacobs handbag. You would have thought she work in Raffles or Shenton way.

She saw all of us queuing but she is not bothered and says the doctor is not in today. He will see patients for the evening sessions at 7pm. All of us are very angry. We waited so long and they did not put any notice saying that the doctor is not in for morning and afternoon sessions. We all bombard her and say where the notice? Then she realized her mistake but faster brush us off and told us to just visit the Choa Chu Kang branch and can’t be bothered. She continued to open the clinic door like business as usual. What she is doing there I did not know. Some parents follow her in to bombard her further.

I was so damn pissed off. We just need to see a doctor for our sick child but treated us customers terribly. I think they know they are very famous even ang mo also see Dr Heng so they just can’t be bothered with us.

I left home at 8.15am without getting to see any doctor so we went to Anne's Baby & Child Clinic (near my mum's place) at 10am (Even though the medicines are not so effective for my son but I’ve got no choice as I need to rush back to work and my son is cranky as he needs his nap at my mum's place so I just ask the doctor to give my son a stronger dose for his cough).

This will be my last visit to Kidslink clinic (even other branches) and will never ever step into this clinic again.
