Hello mummies here,
I'm glad to have found a thread where I am not the oldest
.
I'll be 40 next year. I just had a baby boy in Mid-Feb. I also have a 'terrible-two' girl who will be 3 in June. I'm a SAHM.
I had a very smooth pregnancy with my boy, despite my age. Just that I put on quite a bit of weight which I'm finding hard to shed, even with TBF. Just the stubborn flab.
I didn't do any of the screening or amnio tests though they were offered to me. And at the 20 wk detailed scan, my boy had dilated kidneys, and that caused a bit of worry for us cos that's a 'soft marker' for Downs. But my hb & I decided not to do the amnio. The dilated kidneys resolved by wk 24 and my boy is normal and healthy. Thank God for that.
We're open to having another child, but of course, the risks get higher each year, so we're hesitating. I also had a miscarriage a year ago, before conceiving my son, so there's that too. We'll just leave it to God and nature.
This hot weather is really wearing on me, having to manage my tantrumy girl, my demanding boy and housework and cooking. Heee.
Are most of you FTWM?
Kan,
My friend's child is also sick sooo often after starting childcare. He's practically sick every month. Maybe a change of school might help, if that's possible?
