Recommended by another twin mommy.. charging $3600 -_-" very pricey haha but ya thats e market rate ... previously I used PEM agency de not bad but not very good oso. Mid range svc haha but at least agency ones wont play me out last min that is the only pro I feel. $3800 and yet no experience in handling twins.. such rates.. you willing to pay? Still got time to slowly source around... good luck!

When are you due? Can I use your CL? Mine should be around June.

For me, I'm also worried for premature labor and the cost. I chose my gynae in mount alvernia, went to him for all my scans. His advise for me is, as long I'm 35 weeks and babies with good weight, I can go to mount alvernia to deliver.
But if anything before that, go to Kkh to deliver.

Hi, congrats on your twins. I also first time with twins. I understand that not all twins will preterm tho it is common. I intend to play by ear, going along with my gynae and deliver at Mt E novena if I deliver after 36weeks OR if happen to deliver earlier than 36weeks I go KKH.

My gynae told me in order to keep the babies inside longer, I shouldnt walk too much and I shouldnt eat too much. haha if babies got no room to grow will make labour earlier. Zzzzzz

congrats! Why dun try other gov hospitals like sgh or nuh? These 2 also hv neonatal departments..

As for CL im opting out as they are really expensive ard $3.5k and above and im skeptical abt many of their credentials and self proclaimed experiences...heard many horror stories. Furthermore, im trained presch/childcare teacher so i really want to hands on my own bbs myself. For meals wise i'll ask one of my aunt to cook..maybe a live in helper/maid im just looking for

Hi Jojolovesbb, so do you mean you are also following up at KKH in addition to seeing your gynae in Mount A? Otherwise KKH will not have your pregnancy record and how will they accept you for delivery at their hospital?

It depends on you and your babies weight. First my case, I started HL (hospitalization leave) at 29weeks, as I had mild contractions and might lead to preterm labour. My gynae advice to rest as much to keep babies in me as long as possible. And I calculated when i start HL according to my entitled HL so as not to take unpaid leave..

Once I hit week 34, my gynae(mount alvernia) told me to that I can start chosing date from week 36 onwards. Anything before week 34 I will go kkh, to save money for nicu. Once I chose csect with my gynae, even if I felt pain before my chosen date, it will be still consider normal csect, not emergency.

Yr HL is one stretch? Cos I kbow HL cannot split so if doc give 1 mth it includes Sat n Sun, PH too.

From what I heard, KKH will accept you but you can't choose delivery Gynae. Any random Gynae will deliver

Congrats! Your babies really good weight sia. Imagine lugging 5kg with you , must b a relief to unload them haha.. How is it like breastfeeding them? Both latch at same time? Do share with us the hosp bill k. Have a GD rest n njoy bonding with your babies!

My gynae say can chose after week 36 onwards, so I went to calculate the date and time to deliver.. I'm not sure if my gynae are specialize in twins, but he is definitely good..
My gynae is Dr Kenneth Edward Lee from mount alvernia. He is very flexible on HL and mc..

Must be prepared for the heavy-weight, pressure on ur back and pelvic.. Really xinku, but when you see them, it's all worth it!! Need to be positive, always..
The nurse and lactation specialist are very helpful and supportive.

yea I started this thread late Oct haha then when someone started to reply was 5th Nov. Was busying with running hospital/expressing milk/ and getting some sleep.

My pte gynae advice me to come kkh if babies wants to come out before full term.

And I get class C in order to get the cheapest price for babies bill.. For class C .. per baby at NICU is $220 (just a incubator haven't include test, doc etc) so estimated 93 days stay is 30k per baby

• Birth date: 3 November 2014
• Gestation age: 28 weeks 5 days

----- it's been 67days, current Gestation age: 38 weeks 1 day -----

• TW1 birth weight: 1080 grams
TW1 current weight: 2218 grams
Stay in NICU: 45 days
Stay in SCN: 22 days, dated 8 jan (still in SCN Now)

Oh dear, what's SCN? Babies are well now? Above 2kg le still can't discharge? Really not easy for you to go home without them and ferry to n fro hospital for months. Jia you mommy! I am so glad they make it esp they are born so tiny.

SCN = special care nursery.
They are well now.. The initial part was really a roller coaster ride
Yea they still can't go back home because they are learning how to suckle now. Cannot finish milk from bottle cannot go home (unless the baby have been there for really long then doc will consider letting bb go back home with tube feeding then go home train yourself)

At first I tot they couldn't make it thru too

Just to check anyone has bleeding issues when expecting twins? I did not have this issue when I was expecting #1. I know every pregnancy is different. But m freaking out. How do you manage your 1st trimester if you are a ftwm n need to go out of office for client meetings?

I bleed alot alot on week 13 in the middle of the night during my sleep. Not sure what happened either. Rush to mt. A emergency to see my gynae.. half of my panty was covered with blood. I tot that's it already. But luckily no problem .. was given a jab on the butt. And hormone pills. 2 weeks HL.. even my gynae can't tell why.. and hubby and I did not even have intercourse..

Please rest well. Bed ridden .. ok ?

Thanks for sharing! Very informative! Do you just go in kkh as walk in for your case? I take it you had pain and had to go to 24hrs o&g? Then you considered pte and bb can put in class c? Just planning in case next time i also pre-term what to do..not ganjeong spider TIA!

Hahaha u very cute lol...u with sgh? If ur place far from sgh, Can try buy the prolution solution from them then jab at gp near ur place so to minimize walking and travelling..btw, how is the o&g service in sgh? Is waiting time long? Which gynae u seeing now?

Ya after that it's okay already .. but 1.5 weeks before I delivered my preemie twins .. I had a little blood on my discharge again .. just a little. Then was given 3 weeks HL. Cos gynae suspect I might give birth anytime soon.

so I guess we change prepare left house about 130am.. when gg to get a cab and on a cab I was in great pain.. contractions kept coming.. so pain that I felt I didn't have the strength to walk haha. So when I alighted cab I needed a wheelchair lol. When I reached kkh I was about 10cm dilated n TW1 head was really low already ..

Hi all!!! This is wk 6 for me. Did scan on Monday and saw 2 heartbeats.. But was bleeding this morning. Rushed to SGH and thank goodness babies are holding on well..

Just to check anyone has bleeding issues when expecting twins? I did not have this issue when I was expecting #1. I know every pregnancy is different. But m freaking out. How do you manage your 1st trimester if you are a ftwm n need to go out of office for client meetings?

I got spotting since day 1 til now. was on hormones pills 3 x a day and jab 3 x a week. my hubby jab for me at home de, just like when i had #1 oso jab til end of first tri. you must rest well.. really helps. i even had my meals served on bed haha but now spotting lesser so moving around as usual le heehee take care ya and hope yours will stop soon
