Tromso, ya must be very happy to see baby's heartbeat. Is this your 6th week scan? I'm anxiously waiting for mine. Another 1 week plus to go. I have seen Tan SB a few times before I embarked on IVF journey. Ever since I started IVF I didn't take any chn herbs anymore as the nurses told me it is not advisable. Now that Dr Loh is ok with it I'm considering whether to go get an tai yao from her. Are you still on any support med currently?
 


Noy, i think you can inform your clinic tomorrow morning and let them know that you want to do a early BT tomorrow. Don't worry too much k..

Pinkdoll, yes, you are right, cannot take herbs during the jabs stage. The agreement betw Dr Loh and Tan SB is that, can only start herbs on 3rd day after ET, that is if your dr is dr Loh

Actually dr Loh will only suggests for those ladies who has mc a few times to see Tan SB. But he says throughout the years, he has seen many pregnant and delivered with Tan SB herbs, so he will not say no. When I asked him if I should take herbs during 2nd and 3rd trimester, he says it's up to me, he cannot advise heee.... So pls only take herbs if you feel comfortable with it as Dr Loh doesn't specifically endorse it, he just doesn't object to Tan SB's treatment. Hee...sorry, so chieam...just don't wish to give wrong impression that all should take herbs, it's really more a personal decision

For support, I'm taking Duphaston tablets 40mg a day now.

Yes, mine is week 6 scan. All the best to yours too!! Will you be following dr Loh to TMC then?

Is it a med for stimulation? Cuz Dr Loh mentioned to me about using Gonal F & a new drug ... dunno what start with 'P' & sounded like pergoveris.....

Am so happy for you! Sorry can't help very much about morning sickness but do bear with it .... does your mum stay near you? Else u can get your hubby send u to your Mum's in the morning & pick u up after work.

Ya, the wait at Dr Tan SB's clinic's kinda long. Usually about 4 patients ahead of me, & 15 mins at least with each patient. But bo bian .... must be more hardworking now. Lol ... Oh maybe u can check with Dr Tan SB if can herbs to reduce the MS?

Yes, you can just appear at KKIVF tmr morning with your BT form & the nurse will do for u. I did mine on sat too when the actual day shd be mon. Have u tried hpt?

Pinkdoll, I think Duphaston 20mg is standard support after BFP at KKH. Did you get it? If have red discharge, will need to get more supports in different forms, like injections, etc.

Actually before my week 6 scan, I was feeling unwell, so I went to KKH 24 hrs clinic for consultation and scan (didn't have appointment with dr Loh, so got turned away at clinic D, cos no red discharge too so not emergency case I guess). It's then I realized that anytime after week 6 when we wish to confirm the little life is still beating away healthily, can just go to kkh 24hrs for a scan, about $100 total bill. That is if can't wait for next scheduled scan to come

Tromoso : I also was prescribed with twice the duphaston when i bled during the 2ww. i took twice the dosage until week 6. then doc loh said "huh u still taking double dosage? ok can decrease to normal dosage now". he forgot meh, he prescribe me double dosage for 3 weeks. anyway, now since week 6 to now, im on just 2 tab of duphaston.
 
Noy, if I were u, i will go get a hpt now. Cannot find hpt, I will go 24hrs, do BT, wait 1 hr there & get the result.

Positive, get immediate support from 24 hrs. Why do u want to still wait 12 hrs to tomorrow? Do u know that If u are pregnant, that 12 hrs can mean a lot n determining the outcome. Pls act on it immediately! Dun waste time still posting here.
 
Dee, yah, I'm thinking go stay with my parents for now. But first I may try Tanny's Lao si, see if can help relief the symptoms. I really have to lie down 80% of my waking hours, very very tired, whole body slight aching, breathless...

That day whilst waiting for my turn to see Dr Loh, I decided I cannot take it anymore and requested the nurse to let me rest on 1 of their beds, in the blood test room. Really hope will improve soon. I have taken anti nausea pills but caused very bad gastric pains, so I'm now taking vit B6, doesn't help too much. Ok, enough winching from me, sorry ladies. All will be worth it for the sake of the little one

Tanny, you took double dosage yet not much morning sickness, wow, you champion leh!!. I started double dosage only last night, and today after 1 mouthful of food for lunch, I almost throw out, dinner is the same. I think my only hope is your Lao si now, will have to convince my hubby first

Yup, I still insert the pill juz in case... though very slim chance... now have to start thinking whether to follow Dr. Loh or not.

Is it normal to bloat and look as if we're 4 mths preggie? I'm wondering if it'll subside at all... I'm kinda stuck in between now, cos I can't say I'm preggie without knowing for sure after 2ww, yet I look like I am... Oh boy...
 
Luvnhope, me completely ok! Jus a tad bit bloat (I think). Feels like stomach got alot of wind. Appetite so so but still can eat. Not much discomfort. U better drink more isotonic drink or egg whites to ease your bloat gal...

MS... As i taking double dosage per day too.. U sound terrible, did ur TCM say anything? Did u take injection too?

The NUH doctor said my tube is not usable cos stuck with toxins for too long, something like that. He managed to clear the tube and purge out the toxins but said it won't be usable already.

Anyone can advise if after how's ur 2nd AF cycle after failed IVF?

I was trying to test for ovaluation using the ovaluation strips but don't seems to ovaluate. Today is already D20.

I seems to get some slight spotting a few days ago but the spotting stopped after two days.

Anyone has the same experience before?
 
After taking 3 mths break from my aug/sept 3rd failed ivf, i have just started to see dr paul tsang under care.
My hsb n i decided to switch from eunice chua after much considerstion.
Dr angela has done up my schedule tat i will b doing et rite before cny eve. I aso glad tat during cny i can have better rest from work as well.

Haiz thot during the break we ttc natural but still no sucess

I had a bfn today. This is my 3rd consecutive. I had 2 FET and 1 fresh IVF with 1 break of menses each in between. I wonder is it becos I didn't rest for few months before proceeding each cycle?

Really disappointed and sad with myself. I am very eager to give my son another sibling. Each time I see him wanting to play with other kids makes me wanna cry. Ever since I had a D&C on this year Feb, getting pregnant seems impossible for me.

Can anyone advise if it's necessary for me to go for medical checkup with Dr Loh? I am thinking of following him to TMC and go for a throughly check. I'm afraid there might be some underlying problem like cysts or fibroids which might hinder my implantation. I remembered my last check was like 4years back before embarking on IVF. As I seen the previous post from some sisters here that cysts might develop due to our constant IVF injection.

Sorry for my long post.

May I know is Dr Tan SB medication brew or sachets type? Does she do acupuncture and treat mens fertility problem? My hb has bad sperm problem, wondering is she good in men?

I had a through checkup on 2008 before 1st IVF. Then on 2010, I visited Dr Loh for my FET and had a vaginal scan by him. Not sure is that a scan of cysts or anything. Subsequently, the rest failed cycles are with follicle scan by the radiologist.

I am seeing Dr Zhong Xi Ming at EYS. However, I would like to switch to Tan SB. I find my current TCM not very patience in explaining my condition.

Congrats on your pregnancy. This is your 1st step to success. You must think positive. Not to worry since HCG is increasing. I'm sure your bb will be seen soon

I also failed my 1st fresh ivf in Nov. But I only test for ovulation on day 14 and 15th. I can't detect any ovulation too. Then i gave up coz I find those strips too expensive. Hang on ok! Try to measure body temperature too. Even though I lazy, I tried to take Conceive well and went to find Dr Zou for acupuncture and med too. PLus I took clomid. Now waiting 2nd AF to come. I shall try not to be too lazy.

Sunstillshines, we are AF cycle buddies. My AF also ended on 15th Nov, today same day like you. Still waiting.

Ganie, dun be sad k. Take the break in between till your FET to tiao your body condition. Jiayou! I also went SGH but on thur to see Dr Yong. Now not sure when I should do my 2nd fresh. Coming quarter is my peak again. Sianz....Best time is May/June. Wonder if I should wait so long or just try in Feb and HL in Mar since work nvr ending.

Usually before our cycle , dr will request us to do scan to see if there are polyps or cysts. Pls go for a detailed check

What do you mean by not patience? I also visited Dr ZXM once but it was a general consultation as I didn't know I got problem then. My friend's friend got pregnant under her after a miscarriage leh. So they told me she very good. Another friend of mine suggested Xia Rong under EYS too. Said her sis-in-law said very good but I ask her try Dr Zou first if cost is a concern. Previously, my friend went Beijing Tongren Tang. I think ard same price as EYS.

Initially I was thinking EYS too but cost is a concern for me coz my IVF costs are pretty high as I have large dosage of gonal F. Very sad. I am still young per doc but hormones are like old woman. Any ideas how to improve??? I shall ask Dr Zou next time.
 
Oh no, I overslept today and missed my usual progesterone insert timing by 1.5h. Wld that cause any problems??

Hi Elaine, I only cAn recall that my 2nd AF after failed IVF got delayed. My cycle usually 26-28 days but it only arrived on cd31. Ovulation occurs usually cd12 but became cd14
 
LuvNhope, me doing jabs. For jabs, nurses told me, as long as I jab within the day I'm supposed to jab, any timing is ok. For inserts I'm not too sure but I reckon it wont affect too much since u r late by just 1.5hours. Shd b ok. Dnt worry ya. Glad yr bloat subsiding. Must have felt terrible.
 


Ceo, do u need to do down to hospital for the jabs? Quite inconvenient if so? When i asked the nurse what alternatives i had to the inserts, she said the only alternative was jabs similar to the trigger shot.
