I have traveled twice on plane with my bb.. once to Taiwan and once to Korea.
When traveling with bb, custom is more lenient towards what we can bring on board the plane. I always bring milk powder, baby snacks, medication and also a thermal flask of warm water to make up.
We did request for bassinet on our first trip to Korea, but we think that is a bad idea. Cause everytime there is air turbulence, we have to carry my son out of the bassinet. The bassinet also take up alot of our space. I ended up carrying my son on my lap to sleep throughout the night and by the time I reach Korea, I had a pretty sore arms. On the way back from Korea, we were more experienced and the crew on board was also more experienced. The supervisor brought us to a row which is totally empty and thus we could lay our son down on the empty seats for him to sleep. He sleeps better and longer. The supervisor also thought me how to build a "tent" like cover to shield the lights from my baby so that baby can sleep.
If baby make noise or cry on plane, just keep calm and cool, some pple will look at you or complain but most will understand. Ignore those prejudice eye stares and just do your best to calm the baby down. Just do whatever you have to do.
As the environment of the plane can be pretty dry, do apply moisturizer for your baby.
