Before I went through IVF in April, I had a vaginal scan for allergy earlier. The doctor was so rough that the experience sent me into a tramatised state.
Subsequently, I have anxiety prior to all the scans I needed to do to monitor the eggs to retrieve for IVF. I either cannot fall asleep or keep visiting the toilet before the scans.
The IVF did not work out.
Fortunately, I was blessed and conceived naturally!
Recently, I had some bleeding at week 6 so I had to go to the doctor. Since it is a dating scan, the doctor wanted to do a varginal scan. But gosh!!!.... it is another female doctor who is swift and rough with her actions. Depite me reminding her that I am afraid of the scan, she brushed me aside and told me that I will be fine. I screamed when she inserted the probe. She got angry and told me off "I will not proceed with the scan if you scream. call me when you are ready. I do not want you to make trouble."
I was pissed!!
I do not know why it hurts so much to do a varginal scan for me. and I do not understand why the fear is so intense! Anyone has the same experience as me?
