Dear ladies
Diagnosed with a 8mm polyp at the uterus ... at Nuh.
Recommended Hysteroscopy to have it removed.
Given both outpatient or inpatient choices...
Anyone gone through either? Which option did you choose and why? Please share... thanks in advance!

I did it with day surgery, as long u stayed longer than 6 hours is eligible for insurance claim :)
Do not worry, it's a simple and painless procedure, but it requires GA so you need someone to accompany you home.

Thanks dear... actually wanted to go with outpatient, meaning no GA just painkillers.
But hubby say go for inpatient day surgery.

I see, my gynea didn't give me that option, so only GA. Although it's painless, please rest a lot after the procedure for a few days. I didn't bed rest after the surgery, went out sending children to school the next day like normal, ended up worsen my internal wound and bleed quite a lot :p so do remember to rest and don't walk around. Hope everything will be fine for you. Cheers :)

Hi choco_cat... yes, actually I have done once 4yrs back.. as an inpatient under GA.
That's why I was puzzled how come can do with painkillers.
Ya, my previous gynae that did for me told me to rest for 2 weeks. No driving in case got accident! And no heavy stuff... anything more than 5kg is considered heavy.
I only rested a week... like you mentioned, no pain.
But, BIG mistake. The next AF cycle, I bled so much my bed and bolster and quilt all stained.
Yes, this time round, I will be good...
