Dr Tan Kian Sing TCM

Hi girls, anyone did TCM and have positive experience to share? I’ve been seeing Dr Tan Kian Sing for last 4 months but my period cycle seems to have lengthened from 33 days to 38 days after eating his medicine and going for acupuncture with him feeling worried and wondering if I should try another TCM doctor instead. Thanks much in advance! Usually how long does it take to see results for TCM?

Hi babe, my cycle have lengthened fr a very regular 28 days cycle to 31-32 days. I went to see a specialist and was advised by her to stop the tcm so I stopped after a short 2 months acupuncture + herbal medicine with dr Tan..

Thanks for the reply! Ah I see. Yeah I think I will stop TCM for now too and see if my cycles go back to normal. I read previously that different people respond differently to TCM Meds and acupuncture. All the best to you too!

Yah, actually after stopping my cycle is still 31 days for the last 2 mths n nv go back 28 days all the best to u too as well!

I've been seeing him earlier this year mostly for acupuncture. After seeing him menses extended from 25 days to 28-29 but never over it. However i don't always take his medicine. I find it a pain to tear the many small packs which don't dissolve well and i feel its a standard medicine he gives everyone, plus its super expensive. But he always tries to hard sell his medicine to me.

In any case, i think his acupuncture more effective mainly because he targets the uterus area directly. I don't know any other TCM doctor who does that for $50 a session. If anyone knows please share...

I'm planning to do twice acupuncture per week, once at Dr Tan KS, once at Dr Zou.

Hi! May I know which clinic did Dr. Tan recommend you to do the place test? He told me Raffles hospital in Bugis Junction level 2, but I couldn't google the clinic

Omg..I went to him at toa payoh (Zhong Hua) when I first started trying and it was such a pain. First off, he was always late. And it's not like 10, 15 mins late. It was like 30 to 40 mins late that kind. Then he keep trying to get my husband sperm tested when it was already tested at a hospital. Charge him somemore for consultation just to tell him to go to a clinic that he referred to test. Keep hard selling medication which fine but so expensive. Back then I had no experience with regards to acupuncture but now that I went to other tcm his was so so only.

In the end I went to nearby TCM which was so much better.
