Dr Lawrence Ang - TMC

Dr Lawrence Ang's clinic is at Sembawang Sun Plaza. He's highly recommended by lots of mummies who had good experiences with him but do remember, every individual has different experiences

Some information about him:

1) There's always a lot of people. Husbands would have to stand by the narrow corridor outside the clinic and pregnant mothers might have difficulty finding a place to sit down in the clinic with the overwhelming crowd.

2) Dr Ang is always fast to give diagnose and one couple could at most spend 5 minutes inside. There is almost no time for reaction and to catch your thoughts to ask him questions. Therefore, if you do intend to visit him, do have a list of questions ready as you will be caught up with the fast pace and lose your thoughts and questions you had intended to ask...

3) His clinic is only equipped with stomach ultrasound. For mummies who are slightly overweight, it might not be a good idea to go to him. I belong to that category and when I'm about 6 weeks pregnant, he said "No heartbeat. No good." For new mothers, it can come to a shock when you hear things like that.

4) In case you come to the clinic without appointments, be prepared to wait an awfully long time. They will give priority to mothers with appointments first. You will tend to wait about 1.5 hours just to see Dr Ang.

5) No queue number. If you are an impatient person, no queue number display will probably makes you fidgety. If you really want to know how many more mothers before your turn, you will have to ask the nurses to go into the room and check for you.

Hi Yanade,

Actually I also heard that his clinic is always full of people esp on Sat. Well, this could only means even if it is packed with preggy, mummies are still willing to wait...

The first time i visited him was on a Wednesday evening. Even though it was my first visit, I did not really have to wait for 1.5hrs. I waited for about 3 mummies and it was my turn.

Yes he is fast and precise. If you have question, he is willing to answer them.

The best thing about him is that he is really very responsible. My hubby called the clinic for the first time as I ask him to call to make appointment. So he called and looked for Dr Ang. The nurse says that he is busy and ask my hubby to leave down contact number.

Then at about 8plus, (that is after Dr Ang's working hour), he called back and ask if he can help! Can you imagine such a responsible gynae?

Anyway, all my 3 sister-in-laws (total 6 kids)all delivered by him.

Thumbs up for him!

He is a friendly doctor but much couldn't be said for most of his staff. It would be wonderful if his staff could provide better customer service. Still, its the doctor that matters.

Hi mummies

if Doc lawrence ang clinic is at sunplaza

does that mean his delivery of baby is always done at night etc.

Hi all,

I'm 35weeks pregnant & have been seeing Dr. Lawrence Ang.

I have to say that although he is very busy, you should always prepare yourselves too prior to seeing him. eg. A list of questions you have for him because he does take the time to explain to you.

The clinic may be small/squeezy but I always find the waiting time acceptable. Perhaps it's because if you have an appointment, simply go in, give the card to the staff and come back later loh. If you sit and wait of course the wait feels long.

Lastly, I appreciate his style which is that... if everything is normal... Dr. Ang does not alarm you for nothing. Only if something is amiss he will slow down and explain. So far, everything's a breeze & also with the staff, I think they're friendly. Everyone's busy so they can't be smiling and greeting each and every one of the patients but if you have a question, they will always stop to help.

I called the clinic several time to ask silly questions eg. Can I apply chinese medicated oil on my back...or put salon plas, and they took time to answer all my questions.

Hi mummies, I know Dr Ang's package is around $500. But does anybody know the csec delivery charges for him at TMC? Approximate charges in total and also approximate cash to pay after medisave deduction. I paid around 1.5K in cash for my previous csec at TMC under another gynae, like to know if his charges are about there or a lot more...
