Constipation and insomnia during 3rd trimester

Hi mommies,

I'm on my 3rd trimester (30w now), I feel hot and thirsty all the time....

I drink lots of water, pee a lot but dunno why still have constipation, is this normal?

I also found that it's hard to have a good sleep at night...tummy is getting bigger and bigger...

Any advice to relieve constipation problem or any tips to help sleep better at night? TIA!
 


@sandyang have u spoke to doc about the constipation. if is v serious, think doc got medicine.

my 3rd trimester also horrible, like carry a big iron ball around, clumpsy and heavy, feels crying everyday. i slept side way with a pillow between my tighs. that helps a bit.

For me papaya and kiwi helped in the bowel movements...i agree with the insomnia..im still struggling with insomnia at 37w+ now.
 
As for improving your sleeping quality, you can buy maternity pillow to support your waist and back, this pillow can help you have a better sleep.
I also have constipation problem on my 3rd trim...eat more vegetable and fruit can improve your bowel movement. You can also try to drink lots of water or some coconut water to quench your thirst.
I also drink chicken essence with nourishments becos my mommy friend told me that it contains some herbs that not only help increase body fluids, but also soothe constipation. You can also have a try, hang in there, mommy!
 
I am literally sleeping in an inclined position with 3 pillows stacking up as support.
And without fail, would woke up daily between 04:00 to 06:00 to pee.
