Black kettle: I hv check it up and Chin Leng has settled this (at least lovebb doesnt exist and she doesnt impersonate ppl's ID anymore after CL intervene) and mention b4 tat it is not allowed to impersonate or use more than one ID. Perhaps ginsengmum is unaware of it then.

Perhaps you can do a check on some cheats claiming to use the item for 1 year in one thread and 2 years in a previous thread. How can someone forgot how long she used the item?

Even if ginsengmum does have 2 nicks, so wat? Arielenenling=lovebb=loveme=bbloveme. This person alone has 4 nicks. So wat is ginsengmum compared to this person?

I thought BP is supposed to help mummies here get the best deal through entirely voluntary effort, some say Kaypo effort. If there is a cheaper source known, shouldn't the BP be cancelled for the sake of the mummies? What's there to be mad and upset about?? Unless you have more to lose than just time spent organising out of free will?

Babysoft should be removed concurrently for violating terms of use.
 
Wow! very interesting thread .. and very long! I think Chin Leng (he's the moderator right?) cannot apply his own rules fairly all the time. You can see some people getting away with openly selling their biz and yet others are penalised immediately without benefit of doubt. Can understand lah, since he's running a business. Nothing's for free. He has said he will turn this into a portal eventually and he will need the support of the aunties and uncles here. Cannot risk making us angry!
 
Looking at babysoft's thread, he obviously has achieved his motive of gettting orders, even if Chin Leng remove the thread, he has already got some businesses.

So may be Chin Leng should also send him a letter to invite him as advertising partner, gather his order information from the thread, and issue him an invoice for commission?
 
i think since there are already orders,CL should derive some commission based on the amt of orders shown currently.it isn't fair to other suppliers and advertisers who pay.

its easy for you to say tat we should go for the cheapest source etc etc etc ... but when we org a BP, we need to source for the supplier and even neg for the best deal (in our own opinion, i cant be checking the whole sg to just save $1 right??) and to be fair to the supplier that we liase with.

can you imagine me telling my supplier that there are 100 orders already and suddenly someone like babylove come in and post something like that?? if you were me you would be as frustrated as well

here i am trying to secure the BULK to get the low price and there is someone funny out there to try to mess things up??

i am NOT getting anything out of this whole deal at all ... and i rather be the one to just put my name down and wait for the organiser to do all the dirty job!!

calling supplier, checking for stock avail, asking for better price, arranging for delivery and collection etc etc

i think i am 'qualified' enough to say this on behalf of ALL the mummies who have organised BP before and stop thinking that we cant be angry and upset when such things happen!! Esp when we are doing out of goodwill!!
 
I agree with SeaBreeze,
our reputation is at stake with we deal with suppliers.

If we were to cancel order just like this,
the same supplier will never want to quote us in future.
(Not to mention give a better quotation)

BTW, coordinating mummies & waiting for mummies to make decision,
collection of monies, collection of loots, distributions,
no joke.
This is rather challenging.
 
I agree with Seabreeze, its really not easy to organise bulk purchases... very very time consuming... i know it after organising a few myself... really must be thankful that someone is willing to coordinate.
 
i have emailed CL with the link. Sorry, i just felt we have to protect the interest of the mummies who had a hard time organising such BP.

at "Contact Us", there's no address.
There's a "business address", but no one will be at the address stated.
It's not a shop, just a address.
Besides, this company is just registered this year.

Very fishy, take your risk.

How abt putting up a big banner at the top of the market place to remind pple that doing own business is not allowed? Otherwise it's not obvious enough at the terms and conditions that pple may just claim that they 'missed' to know that. I've seen other website doing that and it's loud and clear to the users.

this is definitely pirated cos original CD comes individually packed. each CD is selling over $20 in popular bookshop. if i recall correctly, there were many such sprees in the forum and there were mummies who had prob playing the DVDs.. and there were couple of suppliers undercutting each other in this forum.

Apparently if someone is able to come in and undercut you so much, it means your negotiation skills and perhaps sourcing skills leave much to be desired. 'i am NOT getting anything out of this whole deal at all' er, doesn't getting what you want at a discount with the help of other mommies here something of a reward?

Anyway, I think this is useful for rest of mommies to think about. BP does not mean the best deals. Do your own homework first.

I believe that for mummies who have organised BP before ... they would be able to tell you ... its cos we come across a good deal and we think some mummies might be keen and thats why we make the effort to organise the BP ... so that its a win-win for everyone ... we all get something that we like at a good deal

Negotiation skills having problems? I guess your communication skills and people skill have a bigger problem. If you are nt contributing to any BP or even organising one, you might just sit and read on. Your posting is mean and dont hide behind a non-registered nick. Your statement is totally uncalled for as you are not even the one doing the job. BP is doing everyone a favour to get the best deal without having each and everyone to do sourcing individually. If you are not here for better buys or even to share your Motherhood story, keep those comments to yourself and just read on.

If you have been there and done that!! (i.e. organize a BP) Then that makes you qualified to comment on BP. But based on all your immature comments, I think it is obvious to everyone reading your postings, that you have never organized a BP at all! So if you are not speaking from experience, then you are really not qualified to comment on the skills of the organizer.

Over here in this forum, we are all responsible individuals, and do not pass irresponsible comments as what you have done. And being responsible adults, we do not commit to a supplier, supplying the BP, a minimum amount of orders and then cancel those orders later (as per what you had suggested). As this would be an irresponsible action, and would cause our credibility to go down the drain. Wonder if you understand what I mean?
 
All of you, just grow up. No one ask you to do BP in the first place. You want to be a good samaritan, live with it. Someone comes in, rightly or wrongly, offers a better price and you cry foul?? So typical of sheltered Singaporeans! Have you been in the real world before?

I have not organised a BP nor participate in one. But I have my fair share coordinating and negotiating important trade deals in the REAL WORLD. So, don't think for a second you are better qualified to comment. This is free speech by the way & no one asked you to respond to my comments. Not happy with what I commented, just move on. Carole Ng should listen to her own advice and offer to the rest.

I prefer to use my own resources to get the best deals, and if I know of one, to pass the deals on to the mommies here. 'Nuff said.
