oh yah, forgot to add, Thursday whole day and Friday afternoons are my off-days from work unless I'm needed to help rush out reports. Am with NUS =)

Gatherings for the area? I dun mind, but must see who are keen for a small gathering around the area. Maybe can form our own small playgroup.

hahaha, wow, small world indeed. Yes, it's Estelle =) Both her and her lil' sis are attending DayStar at Holland V, it's under the umbrella of New Creation Church if I'm not wrong.
For Good Shepherd Kindergarten, think it's more based on a half-day school programme for Nursery onwards. Heard any reviews on them? I won't really need a child-care centre based as I have a domestic helper at home who helps to look after him when I'm at work. Just looking around now as my hb and I plan to TTC next year, so when #2 comes, he'll be attending a half-day session nursery group.

I hv just did up an excel sheet comparing child care centres around my vinity. Hv narrowed down to 4 centres. Will enquire more from each centre and visit them and see it goes.

I just had a babies gathering at my house last saturday and it was fun. I don't mind organising another one for our babies to mix around. My son is 11months plus. He'll be turning 1yo end of July

hahaha, matthew sounds familiar =P which svc do you normally attend? I usually go for 3rd or 4th and try to put my boy at the nursery too when attending services. If we are really late, then will always be at the foyer =) I thought I saw a Matthew on the name list before =) My boy is now in YT.

Mama, I usually go for the 1st service, so that Matthew can take his afternoon nap at home. I've been trained by my son to be a "morning person"!

Jasmum, I hv called up Daystar and was told they may not open up toddler cc nx year but will see how is the response. Milk and Honey is full, hv given them my number so that they will call me back in December.

just wondering... any of you engage a part time cleaner or cleaning co. to do cleaning at home?

i have been using carexpress co. for 1x weekly cleaning [$288 p/mth (4wks)], with them for 1+yr. and it's a team of 3ppl that will do the chores within 1hr; vacumm & mop floor, wash 2 toilets & wipe cabinets & ironing (10pcs).
they will clean the windows/grills quarterly.

i am very pleased with their job overall.

carexpress is coming up with a single cleaning lady service now for a block service of max. 4hrs to do the chores now... and i was wondering if any of you are keen to take up when it is made available.

the charges will be $60 for the 4hrs and rest assured the company will provide assistance on major issues, such as schedule changes, major disciplinary issues, replacement etc...
i thought of switching to the cleaning lady as my home is pretty much cleaned daily but i really hate doing ironing and rather the lady does the job... heee...

so if any of you are keen, i could speak to Priscilla the co-owner of the co. that i have multiple requests within the same area and could start on the service soon, when she does the launching.

i tried a few $10/hr aunties before i found carexpress. thsoe aunties, always last minute say cannot come, ill, etc... and i will end up having to do all my chores.
then also, often first few times do a proper job... later will start to 'short-cut' espcially seep/mop.
also, timing come late ended up at times my appt late, b'cos i can't leave the house.
really very 'troublsome' to find a good one.

just my sharing.

Thanks for sharing Jasmum. I know its hard to find a good one. I used to have one who is quite good but she went back to her home town. Right now, we are doing housework on our own. Still coping okay... But IF got good recommendation for those $10/hr type, i dun think I'll mind getting one to try. :p

Anyway, for the Care express one, do they have to come every week? Or can be done every alternate week? If every alternate week, I think we can consider. For us, its also mainly ironing that we dislike.

Hi, I've a washing machine to give away. Used for around 7 years. Still in working condition but the filter (Actually dunno what's is it called. Its the small pouch in the washing machine that collect the dirt) is not working. Brand LG, 22"x22" 6kg load. Collection at Redhill Road by Sat morning.

my family loves the lil' pizza.
it's really bite size and usually we'll add abit of meat (left over, chicken/turkey,etc..) and toast it together for 12~15 mins and before eating splash a dash of the tobasco sauce - very yummy !!!
1 pkt has 6 bite size pcs, each person can finished the 1 pkt one !!!

it's really not easy to organize... so not sure if there will be another spree...
furthermore it's not easy to meet the bulk purchase item.

but these items can be kept in the freezer for a good 6~9mths even.
so like now... i have ordered and will be storing up.

i have noticed before, in the BP & WTB threads there're usually a spree for town, north, east area collection... which the location isn't so convenient for me... so here i am taking this opportunity to order and store.
