<b>Applying to be able to post in overseas spree and WTS threads</b>

hi cheepoozz,
Bee Lee's above posting did mentioned that you also need to be an active participant in the forum i.e. participate in those motherhood threads or pregnancy threads or MTB threads.

ummm.....you only have made 32 postings, thus I don't think you qualify for that criteria.

RJJ there isnt any number of min required post. Members who registered after 15 Nov 06 are not allowed to post items for sale till its 1 yr maturity.

Cheepoo, out of 32 posts, your participation is not very active in normal thread. You actually have more threads on offering your items. This might be the reason, but best you email moderators to check.

not sure about that, need Bee Lee to answer that.

However, if I remember correctly, I ever read the Moderators say that postings on the Bulk Purchase section, Want-To-Buy section and Free Items section does <u>not</u> count. This is because the Moderators want to make sure you joined the forum not just to sell/buy/exchange things but mainly to participate in various motherhood &amp; pregnancy discussions as this is the main purpose of this forum.
 
I think there is a criteria of min. required post.
If you read Bee Lee's post above, indirectly she is saying there are 2 criterias:-
1) need to wait 1 year (for those register after 15nov06)
2) be an active participant in the forum

For criteria No.2, that does mean Bee Lee will see how many postings the member made and I gather she will also see where (which thread/section) are those postings made.

But i did a search on your nick and see you mostly participate in the Free Items section and WTB section. Maybe that could be the reason?
I think the Moderators would review whether did you participate in those motherhood/pregnancy related threads or topics.

I'm not sure but I just suspect that's the reason. Maybe you can email the Mods to ask.

your joining date is 29th April 2007. So it's still not 1 year yet. You need to wait until after 29th April 2008.
In the meantime, you can PM or email the spree organiser your orders.
 
dryn, I think yr post also not enough. Maybe you can e-mail to Mods. But Bee Ling (Mods) advise that those join in April will be activated in mid Apr.

What you want to post? You can ask anyone who able to post to post for you.

When i turn one year memeber, i'm so excited cos i can finally post on oversea spree... find it so troublesome to PM or email. Oversea spree cut off is so fast.. So i email BeeLee when i turn one year, but the replied is that the participation is not enough, but no guage is stated. So disappointed...
I think be it how old member, BP or oversea spree, there's risk from both seller, organiser &amp; buyer, so there's no point in setting the limitaion.
Hope the moderator can do something.

Really using PM is a bit troublesome when I'm not 1 yrs old in Feb 08.

Sorry that I wasn't able to reply to all your emails.

Those who had registered in Mar 2007 and have been participating in the forum, are now able to join the WTS and Overseas spree sections. An email has been sent to you.

To other members,
there is no need of application. Members who are eligible will be able to participate in the Restricted Marketplace by middle of the month upon hitting the one year registration, eg. those who registered in Apr 2007, will be able to participate by mid-April 2008. You will be notified by email.

Of course, you can still write to me for clarification or if you did not receive my email notification when you should.

May I suggest that new members that have not reach the 1 year restriction be able to reply to threads in Overseas spree and WTS?

Well I do agree that perhaps not starting a new thread for young members is ok, but not cascading the restrictions to replying of posts. This make buying difficult. Not only that, I wanted to post a question in the Comgateway VS Vpost thread to claify some doubts before I make a personal order but I was unable to do so just because the thread was under Overseas spree. And I don't know where else I could start a new thread to just to ask my question because it fit most in the overseas spree.

It was very disappointing. Just my feedback and suggestion for improvement.

Btw is there any kind mummy who can help me post my question in the Comgateway VS Vpost under the Oversea spree? Please PM me, I'll be most grateful.

chen_mama, i tink active member not determined by # of postings, tink mods will look at where u actively participate in, whether it's mainly in motherhood/pregnancies discussion or in marketplc.

Hi all,

I think it's very weird the way Moderators handle matters like these.

Last year, when i first joined forum, have about 60 plus posts in the month of joining. Then I decided to start a BP of Thermal Swimming wetsuits for kids. My application was straight away REJECTED, saying that I'm not active in the talks and only have so less posts, so I'm not allowed to organise any BP at all. As they don't want NEW MEMBER just to come in and MAINLY ORGANISE and SELL things here.

I then made a discovery and discovered another mummy who joined at the same month as me and has about the lesser no. of posts than me, she was granted permission to organise!

So frustrated, i complained to Moderators and in the end they granted me the chance to organise, as they mentioned it depends on case by case basis.

But, these days, i discovered ALOT of organisers for BP has ONLY 1 POST!!!! Which means that the 1st post is the one that they start the THREAD for BP!

How can the moderator explain this then????

Is this a new ruling then?

If so, then Moderator's should do away with the "1 year RESTRICTION" rule as it's the same principle. Which they meant by, don't allow NEW MEMBER to just come in and sell things.

i guess you are still new here.
majority of those BP organisers which you see start with 1 posting, they actually created a new nick/userid. They are actually 'old time' member. I know some of them and they told me the reason they create a new nick is for convenience of tracking the BP. i.e. the old nick is used for chit-chatting with friends and the new nick is solely for BP related purposes. Also, with that way, they can maintain separate PMs / emails address.

Thus, i assume they must have told the Moderators about it and thus, they easily get approval to start the BPs.

this is wat i heard from other mummy. Mod looks at how u take part in discussion in other thread other than buying and selling things. More active in Motherhood discussion.
