Avent Breast Pump

Hi Mummies

Anyone using Avent single electric breast pump before? How is the pump like? Are the pumpinh efficient as compared to Ameda or Medela and are the spare parts lasting? Tks for the advice

Hi,

I bought but using for less than five 5 then stop it. comment is not suitable for small breast / short nipple ppl. its written there most sell able in london, so I think is more suitable for big bust heehhe

I started with Avent, and then switched to medela in style. Avent is more comfortable and the cleaning is much easier; but medela is more efficient ( pump in style is dual motor/ pump). I bring medela to office.

Not true about Avent electric pump not being good. I have used medela, ameda and Avent, in the end it was Avent which had helped me established my milk supply. I successfully total breastfed my #1 for 3 years+. With Avent, you could control the suction and rhythm much better. That said, it induced letdown pretty much easier as compared to other pumps whereby you'd just had to sit around and wait for letdown to come.

I've had at least 3 letdowns a in a single pumping session all thanks to the rhythm suction. Definitely a good and reliable pump which I am ready to use again this coming May when my #2 is due.

FYI I was using Avent double electric pump (the ISIS version) and recently just bought another Avent comfort single pump for home use. Intend to double pump while I'm back at work to cut down pumping time.
