Hi all,
Anyone here experience backache? I am about 6 weeks and these 2 days have been experiencing mild aches at lower back, same as what I experienced before af arrives. Hope it is ok.
Hi cjanice, don't worry too much! i suppose it's ok. i also experience backache. in fact had diarrhoea almost whole of last week. still feeling bloated and always feels like releasing air .
super tempted to go for tcm massage for my backache but i guess that's a big NO to do so!
She still do have the package. Both hubby and I really like her. She's honest and straight forward with lots of advice. I'm about 6 weeks now and will be seeing her again on Monday. Also, her charges are not expensive.Hello and congrats to all mummies to be! i was tested positive last weekend toooo. first baby.

When will you be signing contract with the new employer? I don't think they can reject us simply because we are pregnant. But if they do, it just shows that they are not worth working for in the long run. If they accept us, we can work to prove our worth within the few months![]()

that's why my choice of dr all in the east .
You may like to consider which is within your budget range? I'm with Dr TanI had my first visit with Dr Wong last evening. My appointment was scheduled at 7pm, but managed to see Dr Wong only at 730ish. He's quite nice and cracked some jokes during the check (cus I was really scared!) He's quite a chop chop Dr. He only delivers at Thomson Medical.
Seeing other mummies' reviews on Dr Geraldine Tan, I am still considering between the two. I asked my husband for his opinion but he said it is up to me.... Any views, mummies?![]()

Seems like Dr Wong's charges are cheaper then. Dr Tan's first time consultation is $100, subsequent is $80. As for the scan, is about $80 plus, can't rmb the exact charges.Hmm how are Dr Tan's charges like? My first consultation with Dr Wong is $80, ultrasound is $70, and multivitamins is $10. I saw his package from week 12 is $650. All excludes gst.
Dr Wong also went through briefly with me that checks throughout the pregnancy. For the Oscar/panorama, Dr Wong briefly mentioned to go for Oscar test instead. He just gave me the pamphlets for Oscar and panorama tests and asked me to read and ask my friends/Google for reviews. But from the reviews online, it seems that Oscar has higher no. Of cases of false positives (i.e. false high risk) and mummies who took oscar also went through harmony/panorama tests cus Oscar result showed that they are of moderate risks. Their panorama results eventually show that they are of low risk. May I know if Dr Tan asked you to make a decision on this by the next check up?

No, Dr Tan didn't ask me to make the decision of doing Oscar scan. Maybe because I'm still too early into the pregnancy?
I'm currently at week 6 too.I see. I am only in week 6+5days according to the scan. Haha
Hi all.. im with dr wong heng fok ever since i was ttc.. im 8w+3d and my edd is 2 april.. went for scan this tues and we decided to go w panorama and 1/2 oscar as advised by dr wong cos he know my character tends to worry alot so he said if financially ok can consider panorama.. dr wong is a very caring doctor.. i had spotting during wk 4-5 and he texted my hubby and myself to ask how am i doing is everything ok. He always reassures me during every visit..![]()
Thanks! Congrats to you too!! Actually i havent really read up about 1/2 oscar cos we trust dr wong so much we went with whatever suggestion he gave.. i will go read up tonight and let you know.. ya usually they rec panorama to ppl above 40.. im 31.. i guess if you also a natural worrier like me go for panorama although not 100% but at least its 99% compared to oscar 90%..Congratulations! May I know what is 1/2 Oscar? I am also a natural worrier. But the way he put it, it seems like people usually go for Oscar. Only people above 40 go for panorama. I am 30, but I have seen many reviews by mummies younger than I am having false positive from Oscar.
i am still patiently waiting for my appointment on 2nd sept with Dr Wong! The nurse suggested my appointment only on 2nd..
with all the information i guess i will tell doctor i want to go for panorama instead of oscar since accuracy is higher. am also 30 this year! to me this test is really important.
thanks all for all the really useful information!![]()
I went online and check.. full oscar is blood test and ultrasound so for half oscar is only doing the ultrasound.. blood will be drawn for panorama at Dr Wong's clinic.. Oscar is done at novena specialist centre.. my appt for both is on 18/9.. going back to Dr Wongs clinic for a scan on week 10 cos i wanna monitor closer..
Hehe how far are you into the pregnancy? I went in at week 6+5days but still kena the transvaginal scan cus normal scan can't find the sac so I guess the later you go, the better.
i see. argh.. hope mine can be normal ultrasound by then. i am suspecting i am about 6 weeks now. irregular menses previously so didn't really know how to calculate!
and same as you.. i am VERY scared of drawing blood.. needles.. etc
Hehehe. hi^5 Limy0112!
btw anyone experiencing morning sickness already?
Hi Mummies! Tested positive 2 days back.. having cramps on and off and feeling bloated and sleepy all the time... seeing gynae in 2 weeks time. No morning sickness yet so far..is this normal?
Hmm I think different mummies have different symptoms. So I think there's no "norm" to compare to. I didn't feel nauseous until the beginning of week 6. It's actually quite a blessing to be pregnant without morning sickness..
Thank you! Do we usually need to go to gp for blood test to confirm or just call up gynae for appt? I actually just called up for appt without going to gp..
I booked appointment straight without going to a gp. Haha but the wait from the day I found out to my appointment was quite torturous. Kept worrying about this and that. Lol
Week 8 now, experience fatigue all the time.
Did anyone just go ahead with oscar scan?
Already announced the good news to direct family. Still hesitating whether to announce to close friends before 2nd trimester. Any advice?
