Anyone pregnant (2nd trimester) and terminated/retrenched by company?

I am in my 2nd tri and made redundant by my company... Like to ask anyone in similar "status" to share your story..

As in you were dismissed by your company? I guess our labour law just ain't strong enough to protect pregnant women.

It's really getting common nowadays. Tried approaching MOM for advice?

Hi Jolyn,

Have you reaches your 6th month? If yes, the company has to compensate you with 1month termination and 4 months of ML pay if i am not wrong.

Try to write to MOM to appeal and get back what you deserved.

We, pregnant ladies are protected by the govt. Companies cannot sack, retrench during pregnancy and during materity leave. If they do, we can report to MOM.
