hi hi...could any mother share your experience w us? its our 1st baby and the doc we went to isnt doing wat was expected...the 8 to 9 visits we went he only took my weight once (at the 1st visit) and my BP once (at the recent visit) on top of it he never tell us or take the weight of the baby..i've spoken to a few mothers and they were shock as these seems to be a regular routine during their visits with their doc...appreciate much if any of the mothers could help advise as well

Measuring wt should be a normal routine for pregnancy check up. When I have my first child, my gynae will take my wt n blood pressure during every visit.

until the baby is at least 32 weeks, gynae usually will not weighed the bb. If u r uncomfortable with ur current gynae, suggest u switch to another gynae.

I've also managed to change my gynae after 20th week. Both hubby & I felt that she's much friendlier, professional and willing to spend time explaining the ultrascan to us. If u felt uncomfortable with ur current gynae, do feel free to change. Indeed having a good gynae really makes a difference. Even though her package is $1200, we are more than willing to pay that amt for a better gynae.

I changed to Dr Paul Tseng on my 38th week as I want to give birth naturally. My previous gynae asked to go for c-sec as he consider my bb to be big (est. 3.1kg at 37 weeks). I delivered naturally on 39th week after just 1 visit to Dr Paul Tseng. Glad that he is willing to accept me at such late stage.
