Good morning all,
Catherine,
As Kelly mentioned, the hospital gown is not breastfeeding friendly, so it's good to bring ur own front-button gown. Other than wat Kelly has mentioned, if u want ur baby to sleep in the same room as u, u might wanna bring along a long sleeve n thicker clothes for ur baby to change into at night cos the room is very cold.. my baby was shivering when she sleep in my room until i changed her to thicker clothes.
They do provide maternity pad also.. but won't be enuff and it's those tie kind not the stick on the panty kind... so better bring ur own. What the nurse there teach me was to use those stick on extra long pad (use for night time during menses) as the base then put the maternity pad (tie kind) on top so no need to tie... then u just change the maternity pad can liao.. the stick on pad only need to change if kena stained...
The pampers NB diaper n wet wipes they provide should be enuff for 2 days.. I don't think u need to bring extra. If not enuff then ask your hubby go buy lor. This way u need not bring so much stuff to the hospital.
Also, when u discharged, ask them for formula milk. It's the pre-mixed kind in glass bottle... just need to screw on the teat provided. This come in handy if u have prob breastfeeding initially at home. Don't feel shy to ask for more.
Kerlyn,
The dark color n large nipple will stay til u stop breastfeeding... ur breast will get bigger also so if you wanna buy nursing bra, it might be good to wait til ur last month or buy 1 size bigger.
