not sure if u still need the infant care info, but so far in the east i think only tg katong have infant care. Near kembangan (lor melaya) there is this childcare called cherie hearts, I heard it's quite good. But i dont think they have infant care there. playgroup from 18 mths. Hope this info is useful.

Yes, the boys are keeping me very busy indeed. I have my mum and a maid to help out and so far we are managing ok. No time for much these days although I do try and get out to the shops at least once a week by myself to stay sane

normally the gynae have a few PDs which they work with. So I asked who they were, did some checks to decide whom I want. Some PDs queue at clinic may be very long if you intend to bring bb back for checkups etc. Or some PDs just come and go, or not pro-breastfeeding etc .. ok maybe I'm just too paranoid

I just given birth in Gleneagles in Mar. I stayed in a 1 bedder and the total bill came up to abt $4.6k. The hospital bill is abt $2.2k for a 1 bedder with norm/assisted delivery with epi. The rest of the cost will be dependant on how much your gynae and PD charges. If you ask for epi, then gotta pay the guy also.
1 good thing abt Gleneagles is if you admit after 8pm, they don't charge you for that day. Unlike most hospital, you must be admitted after mid-night then no charge.

Yup, it's b4 the medisave claim. Medisave can claim $2k+.. can't remember the exact figure.

thks... i know how u feel.. the waiting part can be unnerving... dunno when the bb wanna come out... my delivery was smooth... bb come out within 15 min of pushing.. but the labour process was slow... I admited at 10.30pm dilated 1 cm.. wait until next morning 8am only 2 cm so decide to induce and bb finally delivered at 4.41pm.
The mid-wives in gleneagles are very friendly n patient. They will guide you and tell you what to expect and what to do at different stages during the labour so no worries.
My stay in Gleneagles was good, the food ok. The nurses are all very friendly and attentive. And the lactation consultant is also very approachable. My advice is make full use of the lactation consultant to teach you the right technique of breastfeeding during your stay. Don't be like me... never take the opportunity to learn, go back home got prob breastfeeding... end up with sore nipples.. gotta stop latching and express my breast milk to feed her.

yup.. my 1st bb.. ya lor.. luckily bb come out so fast.. i heard horror story of ppl pushing for hrs!! Don't worry too much.. I believe urs will be smooth too... go do more walking.. I heard walk more will have easier delivery.. I walked a lot during my last few weeks.. might have helped.
Gleneagles have 1 consultant going around the rooms everyday. If you need help during bb feeding time, you can ask for the consultant to come to your room to help you. They also have classes every weekday morning on breastfeeding and infant care which you can attend.

A bit max out taking care of bb cos she can be a terror at time... she dun cry, she SCREAMS!! some more I got no helper so at times can die and my husband is hopeless with her... he dun dare to bath her, dunno how to pacify her and he has NEVER done a night feed til now... he can just sleep through her cries at night. Honestly, I'm exhausted... my greatest wish now is to have a chance to sleep long long... I've not have more than 3 hrs sleep since she's born.. So now u got chance to sleep better sleep more.. heehee
No much chance to shop leh cos not easy to bring her out alone... gotta wait til the wkends.

My hubby do help a bit like doing the day feed and change diapers... but he dun dare to bathe her cos he say she too fragile.. he scare... he also got no patience so when she keep crying he'll get irritated n upset after a while cos he dunno how to make her stop... so end up i'll have to take over. As for nite feed, same like u, i'm a light sleeper so initially i thought since I already wake up by her cry liao just feed her lor, dun have to wake my husband up.. but for long term is very siong lor.. cos always not enuff sleep. Now my husband so use to sleeping through liao so hard to get him up to feed.. also he gotta work lor.. so bo bian lor.. let him sleep.
I'm getting a maid soon... cos when i go back to work next month, my mum will look after my bb in the day n she'll need help cos she is already looking after my 2 yr old nephew.
U must make ur hubby help.. dun end up like me.. but luckily my gal quite guai now.. she'll has a last feed at abt midnite then will sleep until abt 4am for her next feed so I only need to wake up once.
By the way, is urs a gal or boy?

you mean the area near the nipple is getting darker ? it's normal. And the nipple also now very big and ugly.. hahaha. I read that it will go back to same size when you stop breastfeeding
