6 weeks old baby crying after each feed

My 6 weeks old by started crying 15 mins after each feed till face turned red. No poo for 2 days. Last poo contained alot of particles. Puked a bit after feed just now which also contained alot of particles. Are these signs of indigestion? What can I do? Daytime on breastmilk and night time on formula. Please help.

Is the milk too thick? Sounds like indigestion to me. You might want to put less FM and more water to see if it helps. Or some juice or mashed fruit.

My gal now is 7 months. every morning ask her to poo. 1 day will poo 2 times. morning and noon. make it routine and sooner they will knw its time to poo.
think 6 weeks old bb too early to have solid food. let her drink more water and try lesser abit milk powder.

Hi there. When u say ask your baby to poo twice, u mean to say train bb to poo a regular basis? How? As in before bathing time ask her to poo? I tried but baby not able to poo. The last time she poo was 3 days ago. Daytime I give bm. Night time give fm for abt 3 feeds out of the 8 feeds in a day. She used to poo daily. But after I change to day time full bm, she can't poo regularly. That shd not be the case right?

I think I know what mommypoko is saying. We used to sing a short tune (like supermarket tone when about closing time if u know what I mean) when we're about to bathe my bb and somehow it worked for toilet training. It's like coaxing "it's now time to do business...".

More water definitely helps and masahed fruit. Just a little if bb hasn't started teething. They get constipated when teething too -- a scary time (about 6 - 18mths) where many developments happen at the same time.

Constipation/teething pains/fevers/ irritability/sleeplessness/starting to stand and crawl etc all at the same time!

Lol!! I use to ask her poo when she is abt 1 month old. Morning 1 time b4 shower and noon 1 time when changing diaper. Juz like the sound...... Mmm.. Mmmm... So when she heard tis sound she will poo.
Lucky is my gal did not hv any fever when she is teething. Abit diarrhea only.
By right bm will makes bb poo more. Dun worry. Not all bb are same. Justine, ur bb start teething mayb as wat mehui say constipation? How old is ur bb?

i think ur baby's having reflux. the particles in the poo is normal. this is called seedy texture.
both my kids have reflux which started abt 5 weeks, very frustrating to feed them. But lucky, the condition went off on it's own after the 2nd month. Otherwise u can see pd who will most likely prescribe zytec & motilium which do help. I used that for my 1st baby. But not for 2nd one cos I know it's a condition that the baby will outgrow naturally.

Thanks dmbb. I too think she is having reflux. She cries almost after every feed. The feedings become v painful. Hopefully it'll go off soon like what u say. We have brought her to PD but PD said its colic. But I find its more than colic.

usu I juz try burping & cuddling.. If u're open to pacifier usage then tt def helps in soothing cos it allows painless sucking

Yes, as like what dmbb posted, I forgot about the burping part. Must make sure bb burps after drinking. Mine wouldn't sleep if not done

Sometimes a few long/loud burps and then will go back to snoozing.

Must burp and also check if diaper is soiled. Some bbs are fussy like mine.

I think she is having reflux. The same happen to
My boy when he was 6 weeks Old.Crying 90 mins after each feed. Would wake up from
Sleep with inconsolable cry. Took me 2 weeks to notice it was GERD. Initially thought breast milk insuff, kept feeding him. Make it even worse. He would vomit out n cry again. Seen Paediatrics started on Zantac n motilium but I stop it after 1week n started him on synbiotic. The synbiotic works!! N am still conitinuing now. He is 10 weeks old now

Agree, breastmilk is the best. I even take suppleement to make sure that I can supply enough nutririon to my baby.
