As a 1st time mummy, i wonder is it good to go for such scan to see how bb looks like? Its quite ex ard 190 bucks n not sure if they allow us to take video of the scan. I m currently 27 weeks.

Singapore Doctors really overdo this.
In other countries, including Malaysia, and Italy. 3D/4D scans are as part of usual scan, i.e. the normal scans that you do when you go for your periodic checkup. There's no additional charges to view in 3D/4D, because it's actually the same machine that they used, just toggling the views!!! My family and friends in Malaysia and Italy see their babies in 3D in every visit after 2nd trimester.
i'm from Malaysia and i went back to do a 3D scan in one of the private hospital there. Consultation + ultrasound is less than RM100 in total!!!!
Wonder if there's any regulation in Singapore to moderate this. It's getting more and more expensive to have a baby here!

Not necessary. Normal scan is gd enough. Altho we r excited to know how bb looks like, I think I'd rather save that $200 for diapers , wait a few more mths n see actual baby in my arms.

its a waste of money, theres no need to let doc earn this money.

My Gynae don't have the 3D scan.
And I think not necessary. Most important is to scan if the baby is doing ok. The rest is not important. Ya. Agreed. Don't have to waste money.

I did 4D scan @ Park Way East Hospital on 24/03/14. it cost $70 and my clinic made a appointment for me. they gave 6 photo with CD. I feels happy as he is smiling in one of the photo.

Do you do your detail scan at PEH too ? if you dun mind may i know how much do you pay for the detail scan ? Done my detail scan in PEH
in 2012 for my 4th child and if i not wrong , it cost me S$250.00 at that time . So just wondering if the price is the same or cost even more
this year as now i am expecting my 5th child.
