someone mentioned dun let grandma touched the belly.. why?

I wanted to go qingming with my folks but my mom dun allow... say better not.. so I just guai guai listen to her.

Gals, I intend to go to the bugis guanyin temple to pray pray.. like pray for smooth pregnancy.. but I read once that preggy not advisable to go temple and/or kneel in front of the god.. any advice here?? my mom seem to think ok to go pray but she said dun kneel, jus bai bai will do...
 


I am also pantang... I dun intent to let my mil know till 1st trim about to pass. Maybe at week 12/13... felt so guilty but no choice coz still unstable..

actually been here.. but not active.. yet.

anyway, first time mom.. super gugu and super blur so I tried to compensate by reading and asking ard a lot. Will def share any new or interesting findings here with you gals...

Been to gynae visit twice. 2nd time hear heartbeat. but only briefly (maybe gynae neiow or wat, I dunno) currently I am 6 weeks 2 days. Edd date changed aft 2nd gynae visit, pushed back to a few days 17/11

Wishing everyone here have a shun shun pregnancy!!!!!!!
 
for those at week 6...

my gynae was cautioning me that frm now till week 8 must be very very careful. Coz he mentioned that implantation just took place so dun try any stunts or do crazy things. And apparently theres like some flu bug goin ard so mummis who r prone to flu, pls wear masks (air also getting very bad) and avoid crowded places...
 
I having constipation... very very uncomfortable and super bad mood.. wanna poo but cannot. I already took fybogel and stuff my face with prune.. still jammed..

very miserable now...

I used to be with him he is very nice. and the nurse - IRIS is very good. im not going back to him this time coz my previous were miscarriages so now im under high risk with NUH. but he did my fibroid removal op and ectopic op. he managed to save my fallopian tube.

the trick to see him and not queue, go very early in the morning, make early morning appt. he is very responsible dr, and his nurse is good. very experience gynae, thumbs up. if not for my condition I will go back to see him

Yes, my mom said try not to let very old grandma touch as old grandma may "suck" away the unborn's 气...

I had a preggy gf with her 2nd child last time, her very old grand MIL touched her tummy & comment "is a girl again?" A few weeks later, her unborn baby was stillborn... :"(

I love both Dr Lee and Iris... they always make me feel very assured.

ya I really loved them too, my grp of friends all see them. he delivered 3 of my friends babies. his charges are reasonable also I tink for a Glen-E gynae. I really miss him. but I got no choice slightly have more faith in my high risk drs :)

I think meaning this week too early liao. I know its tough, but just try to relax. as long as no cramping and spotting its okay. u will see baby heartbeat. like im going next mon at 5w2d I also not expecting to see anything. so managing my expectation just hope that the ges sac is at the right place.
 
Went to my gynae again as I was spotting and having cramps. Took blood test n seems my hcg level on the low side. Going back 2 days later for blood test. Hopefully everything is fine.

Try to bed rest as much as possible and dun move ard too much, climb stairs or carry heavy stuff.

Yup gynae ask me to bed rest. Hcg is 119. Trying to rest as much while my hubby taking care of elder one.

For 4 weeks plus I think it's within the range. As long as it's close to doubling u will be fine. Ur husband is very sweet to u. Rest well. Don't worry. Keep us posted 2 days later. We will be thinking of u.
 
went for my 1st appt yday.. all is well.. bubs is of gd size, saw the head & body, heard heartbeat.. currently wk8

i also just informed my direct supervisor, cos previously i think i caught her staring at my tummy. since doc confirmed liao so i just informed her..
guess wad.. her reaction was like surprised but kinda faked.. so i guess she was suspecting liao. cos my tummy start to show (but thank goodness i haven put on any wt yet)...

I started spotting today also. im just devastated. will be keeping u and myself in prayers. my dr says since im going for scan on mon I just wait. unless heavy bleeding or very bad pain/cramps then go A&E.

keep the faith babe!!! did ur gyane prescribe you with duphaston? maybe can take or go back clinic for some kind of jab today since weekends clinic closed? rest more (though im sure the anxiety is makig it difficult)

yes im on duphaston twice daily. dr doesn't want to see me today. I think the spotting may have stopped. sorry tmi, coz after passing motion my cm was okay no more brown. usually the easiest to see any colour or anything is after passing motion. im just hoping for the best.

I'm abt the same as u. I'm 4w6d or 5w2d today. My hcg was 70 at 12dpo. But they never do again just ask me to go for scan on Monday. Has ur spotting stops?

Yesterday evening still have some spotting but till now no more. The scan can see egg sac?

I don't know yet only going on mon. by right so early cannot see the yolk sac yet but minimally must see the ges sac. good that ur spotting has stopped. :)
