My girl born at kkh. They give enfalac in hospital. At home I give bm n similac. My girl is okie with it. For similac I bought at ntuc cost ard $51.50. Made in Singapore. My girl finished up 900g in abt 10days. Now have to source where got cheaper rate but no in Malaysia. Heehee

Znatasha - same. Only wore mitterns first mth. Bsby needs to feel n stretch. Also if u wear mittens, got to change often cos baby licks it n rub face w it - face gets rashes.

My bb will cry out loud when hungry or super sleepy. I also find my bb doesn't like to be carried in lie-down position she likes the upright, chin on shoulder position, so she can stretch and kicks her legs.

Mummies, me too! I feel stress at night because baby gets fussy. He is so tired yet can't sleep. Will scream and cry until his face is red. Really breaks my heart. And as soon as I carry and sooth him he settles down but when I think he is almost asleep and put him down, he starts crying again. CL says all babies are like that. I wonder if its true.
Then during the day, he is like sleeping beauty. Sleeps so easily and for some long! My friend joked that I need to move to the US so that baby's body clock can switch from day to night!

My bb too, cries till face is red and sometimes seems that he stops breathing for a few seconds! Most times I end up getting stressed, but try to tell myself to remain calm, cos I think bb can feel our emotions. Worse thing is bb cried even more when I tried to carry him - will stop when mil or maid carries him. Made me feel so rejected! So now I insist on soothing him myself and not let maid/mil come to his "rescue" and scoop him away from me.
Lil, I think it will take bb some time to get his internal clock adjusted to sleeping at night. I find that if bb is held for abt 20mins and falls into deep sleep, he can be put down without crying. Do you swaddle baby? That really helps mine to sleep at night.

lil ur cl might be right cos my bb was like that too. but it does get better.
babies will wake up and look ar n play and will be tired again, so try not to over stimulate bb at night n slowly bb will know that it is night. bb will feel tired after being awake for 1hr plus, so let bb have a nap during day time. n try to let bb nap before bb get cranky. mostly bb will be tired n sleep aft being awake for 2hrs.

Lil, my CL told me the same thing but I didn't believe. Kept thinking it's only my bb cos my friend's bb is so easy to handle. My bb is like yours - will cry when you thought he's asleep and wanna put him down. He's 3 months old and still the same!

I also very stressed whenever my boys are crying! in fact, they are crying alot! they only eat sleep cry. they dont have awake time whereby lie there and be quiet.. and the mummy can take nice pic of them. all our pics are they sleeping. Is this normal? I worry they are not full from latching me and thus, they are always hungry and crying!
Mofmm, I feel you totally too regarding the milk powder! My side is using up very fast too!!

Alot of time because of her I feel like giving up breastfeeding coz it really make me wonder did I really have enough milk for them.

Saralyn, how old are your bbs now? It's normal to take pix of them sleeping. Before bb was born, I had wanted to take his pix every day for 100 days to make a collage. Then as I take it every day, all photos look the same because he was sleeping and almost in the same position every time. And in similar outfits too! Cos we only dress him with the clothes bought from the Bugis wholesale shop when at home. Haha... I gave up and decided to take his pix every two weeks instead. Now bb is 3 months old and he smiles a lot more so the pix are more varied now.
Koirc, my boys are coming to 6 weeks already.. Recently one of them is super cranky.. Always cry and want to be carry. Both of them are really eat sleep cry one. They don't have moment of open eyes n look around kind. Is it normal?
Woah! 100 days!! That's tough! Haha.. I also used to dress them in home clothing and I realised they are growing too fast and seldom go out so I change them to romper for outing in the day time even thou they are staying at home! Haha

I get annoyed by MIL every day. I don't know what's wrong with me. Maybe just not happy that I bathe and feed baby then every time after feed, she wants to take over. Like every time she only wants to play with bb and then I have to let her. I become just feeding, bathe and change diaper!

Koirc i bought playpen instead of baby cot. and for playpen, i can sway her left n right or up and down when she is cranky and it helps to coo her.
I m staying with my mum and she is exactly the same as your mil, She din help to feed, bath nor change her diapers and all she wants is to play with bb even thou it is late at night. There was once when i was doing my postnatal massage n bb had poo, n she din even change her diaper. Haiz. But at times, she will help to look after bb while i do my laundry n get my own free time. Still grateful for her help even thou i still quarrel with her. hehe.

Sade, at least your own mum easier to manage. Diff story for MIL. She just annoyed me again by commenting on my tummy. Say so long already still so big and say because I never exercise. Should go swimming with hubby in the evening. Please lor! I go swimming with hubby who is going to look after bb?! Hmph!

Sade and Koirc, thanks hopefully baby's night sleep pattern will improve over time. I'm happy when he sleeps so much during the day so that he can rest and grow. At night, we do make it a point not to overstimulate him.
Bb, yes baby is swaddled though he is a bit of an escape artist. His arms keeps coming out! Hopefully, he will get better with his night time sleep slowly but surely. My CL also asked me if I slept late or have insomnia while I was pregnant hence baby is so active at night. Again I wonder if there is any truth/logic to that but it's true that I kept really really late while pregnant. Sometimes even at 2am!
