So still use ur first u/s scan as the edd.

I had just finish recording down the details. Pardon me to ask luv what do u mean by birth order? As in first or second child?

btw, pls remember to take your folic acid daily. It's the most important vitamin now.

Thanks Sade..... Yes, folic is impt

Kkh prescribe 5mg for me but I still have bal of my own, 400mcg. Then my genius dh said to take 12tabs to make up 5mg. Hahaha..... Luckily dr said 400mcg is sufficient n it's just tat Kkh dun have smaller dosage.

Ewea I slp facing up now n b4 pregnancy I used to slp sideways, now I felt uncomfy slping sideways tried many times doesn't seem to work for me.

Anyway, I'm also a little confused as to whether we follow calculated EDD or the one from the first scan, cos there's a 1day difference.

Sade, dr zou told me it's not normal to have bleeding n ask me to go for another jab, she say now is very critical. so after that me n hb panic and went to kkh amk clinic immediately and prof John tee did tummy scan cos don't want to cause more bleeding and gave me a jab. He's so nice n treat me as followup case for this time, I think maybe cos I told him I did visit Jerry in the morning..
Dr Zou prescribe me 7days med. Btw, gals seeing her, does your med taste like there's 'pao shen' in it? I thought pal shen is cooling hehe

Did Dr Jerry give u a jab when u saw him that morning? Hope ur bleeding has stopped. Indeed, any bleeding needs medical attention at this stage.

Hi Luv, I met up with my girlfriends for dim sum lunch yesterday. The 2 of them highly recommended Mt A, and told me the environment and nurses are very good! My gf has delivered at Gleneagles before, but still gives thumbs up for Mt A. So I reckon this would be my choice for now. Most prob will opt for a hospital tour before I confirm.

Btw, wanna ask if you are still taking baby aspirin now? Was thinking of stopping the med after I finish the current pack.

Joyfully, yes, still taking aspirin. Better wait for Dr Paul to ask u to stop b4 stopping. I've asked him b4 and he says to keep taking for now. If not enuf, can just get from the clinic. I get my Utro and Crinone from his clinic now. Cheaper than CARE!!

Luv, I haven't decided on the gynae yet. Will just stick with him till 1st tri first. Cos am thinking of engaging a doula for my delivery, and Dr P happens to work with doula.

My gf engages a doula and she said it really helps her to calm down at the labor ward and witb the doula's help, she manages to give birth pretty fast (think in less than 2 hours) with no epidural. Haha, her gynae came after she delivers. So hers is very smooth sailing, considered for 1st birth. So I m
seriously contemplating the cost between epidural (costs me $800) vs doula (cost around $1350). The difference is abt $550.

Do you girls have any friends with doula experience?

Yar dr Zou med taste ginseng-y haha I thought it tasted like pao shen. When I saw the colour of the drink was so scared it taste bitter haha but thankfully it's not lol

For amk clinic, I think the gynae rotates duty. Maybe can check if your gynae is seeing patients there. I find that the queue moves much faster than kkh.

Ewea ya it's not normal to bleed or spot but it's common. Do rem to bed rest and minimize wAlking now. Rest on bed now. Dont move ar too much. Talk to ur bb now to stick to u. Have faith in ur bb now. Ask ur bb to be strong and stick to u. Rem to take Dr zou med.
As I told u before there are sisters that bled on early stage n still gave birth on week 36plus.

Ya this thread is suitable for first time mum. I was Also reading yr 2012 ivf mum. But now more on schools and feeds.

Btw, gynae uses our first u/s scan for our edd. some Edd will change on every scan as bb grows. But gynae will use our first scan as edd.

Ewea, I'm also under Dr Jerry Chan. Was in the same position as you in my first tri. I was hospitalise in KKH for 3 days but after discharge, I'm still spotting. No choice I went to another pte gynae and was warded again for another 4 days. During these 4 days, I was stricting CRIB. No movement at all. And was given jab everyday. The jab really helps. Am
now currently in week 15.

The thing that I'm fustrated abt KKH is that they always brush things off lightly. They don't even bother to give more support.

No problem. CRIB is complete rest in bed. So even going toilet need to use bed pan. When in KKH, I requested for bed pan and the nurse actually told me next time dun need to request for bed pan can move ard =.="

I went to my gf's gynae at mount E. Was given progestrone jab like KKH's O&amp;G.

For now, bed rest is impt. Try not to move ard so much. Take care.

luv: i might wait till end of tri 1 and than decide if i want to change dr. As for now I'm sticking with Jerry.

I totally agree that KK tends to brush off things very easily. But thank god my bleeding stopped after a day been hospitalised. Hope all is ok and it doesnt reoccur.

Is there alot of $$ difference in seeing a dr in kk and tmc? If i change, i would like to go with SF Loh. Any views?

BabyG, not sure of the exact cost difference. But i wld think it'd be more ex going to Dr Loh. Delivery charges likewise.

babygalore, i would advise that u visit Dr Loh, he's a dedicated doc. I rem when i saw him in KKH before he left for private practice, he pledged that his price is the same as KKH. At least you can be rest assured that Dr Loh takes care of his patients. Because he answers his emails regularly and he's a very experienced gynae.

But other than that, TMC is more expensive than KKH in terms of hospital stay and charges.
