The thing is, do u also prefer to have ur gynae deliver? If so, then u either have to induce or csec before he leaves right? I have the impression that inducing often leads to csec coz it's like forcing the bb out. But dunno if my reasoning is scientific or not?
Hiaz guess cannot eat like nobody's biz liao. My no1 was only 2.6kg. This one already 3kg. Scary

My #1 gg Etonhouse next month.. Personally I like odyssey but it's pricey.. U go for their open house and you know it's prob the niche in the profession.. So aft weighing factors like environment, fees and curriculum, I chose Etonhouse for him.. You should go arrange appt to have a feel of what's it's like.. I've reg him at Eton since 6mo.. For a 2yo program.. So lead time abt 1.5 yrs for me..

From experience, bottom can get really sore and I needed extras frm gynae.. Ppl also say hot salt water underneath will help.. But it sounds too painful so I use spray.. If u want, I can help to tag on your order w ours..

Ultrasound can definitely scan for umbilical cord position. As long as it's floating around (which also means sufficient amniotic fluid), vaginal birth is a possibility.</font>

i obtained a specialist dip in early childhood w etonhouse.. spent abt 5 yrs part time studying for it.. i understand and agree w their philosophy and see what i studied being practised in their schools.. i had to do 3 internships at their schools as part of graduation.. so i believe in their curriculum.. environment wise, i like the exclusive garden and outdoor play provided by the schools and not the neighbourhood playground type.. it's gated security.. makes me feel more secure.. i'm putting him at 717 etonhouse.. love this particular one cos of the cozy feel of house and also the age group they cater..

Hopecg: I see, i agree it depends on the curriculum which the school provides and i prefer the garden compound within the vacinity of the school itself rather then a neighbourhood playground.I was enquiring abt 717 Etonhouse as well. What a coincidence.

i think it's abt 3900 per term of 10 wks.. was searcching for the fees structure paper but can't find it.. tho their fees are quite confusing in a sense that they allow 5 days morning only, 3 days morning only, 2 days morning only, 5 days full day, 3 days full day and 2 days full day.. so u are talking abt a variety of pricings.. mine putting for 5 days morning only.. think abt 3900.. havent deduct whatever subsidies we entitled to

It is at 1943.60 incl of GST per term(which is 10 weeks). Price before $150 subsidy for half day.
There is also addtional fees like:-
Registration fee:$535
Insurance:$8.56
Deposit:$1400
Total fee enrolment is $1943.56.
Xiao Wei: The fee structure that i asked for was for half day morning session.
Pre-Nursery(18m) - 8.30am to 12.30pm

Some places requires deposit or even a waitlist fee which is non refundable at a certain period, so you have to check with the childcare/preschool carefully.
So far the only place which has a waitlist fee is either Pat's Schoolhouse or Brighton Montesorri, cant remember...sigh. Have to call and double check again.

So we are currently scouting around Mountbatten/Katong area.
In terms of pricing they are almost the same, i believe it all depends on the curriculum that the school has to offer just like what hopecg mentioned.
To me the importance of choosing the childcare centre for us is the environment,curriculum and the exposure.
We personally would not want to place our child in a childcare where is confined in a office building but ultimately it depends on each individual preference.

Anyways,fyi i was informed by my cousin who delivered last month that the hospital charged her for diapers and cotton wool. I will find out more from her this weekend during the full month and share.
