Pauline, I stayed in 2 bedder. At 1st planning for 1 bedder this time but now dun think so. Cos 1 bedder we will need to fork out around 3 to 4K of cash if I'm not wrong. My sis just give birth in 1 bedder. Not bad. She paid abt cask 1K plus. But her package is different. Her gynae charge her seperate delivery fee. Dr Wong delivery should be together with hospital stay, just like Dr Khi.

Calamari, congrats.

Hi Chantal, so not all gynae will offer package? compare to Gynae who don't offer package what is the difference? I prefer to see Dr Lim at JW cos it's near my hse and anyday i want to see him also can, in case anything crops up is also more convenient and he deliver in MA too.

jaspire, actually if your 1st preg was normal and stable and 2nd preg also no problem, dont have to wean off nursing la. i'm still nursing my 21mo and my gynae said it is good!

congrats calamari and huilin!

sleek: actually there are 2 schools of thought. I actually stopped bf-ing when i found out I am pregnant cos some gynaes will advise against tandem feeding as bfeeding may take nutrients away from the baby.

calamari, yes i understand, but I have read many breastfeeding literature (even recently just bought a book from La leche league called adventures in tandem nursing, very fun to read book) that says that recent research states it is perfectly fine. So my opinion after reading all this info is many gynaes/ doc do not support it as they just want to cover their own selves esp when things go wrong, if you know what i mean.

of course i am not saying that everyone must do what i am doing, i am just suggesting it. At the end of the day, every mum must do what they feel is best for themselves and their children regardless of what others think.

hey mummies,
wow so much to read
happy.gif

thanks for sharing the online shoppping websites..
my clothes really too tight for me le.. jialat every morning stare at my wardrobe to look for suitable loose comfortable clothes but cant find..
thank goodness for online shopping, now that i dont even feel like going shopping.. *what is WRONG with me???* haha

yah, i drink milo everyday.. cos gets hungry very easily and dun have appetite to eat sometimes so drink something to warm the stomach..didnt know milo has caffaine.. so is it alright to drink everyday?

what do you all eat what do you all eat?
everyday think of things to eat also sian *what is WRONG with me???* besides the three usual meals, i need about another three little meals.. otherwise i will feel hungry and ms will be very bad.. especially at night... every night milo and bread and then see it twice, you know once more in the toilet bowl. so sick of milo and bread... yesterday night, i ate bread with bah kwa, interesting change
happy.gif
any suggestion of quick and fuss free food?

min: i guess milo is alright but with all other food, don't consume excessively as it is also quite sweet and some pregnant women may develop diabetes. I had mild gestational diabetes during my 1st pregnancy and had to abstain from milo too.

ohhh i didnt know that calamari, thanks for the info..
need to find other warm drink le..
aiyoh tea also not very good right.. unsweetened green tea can?
hais.. okay warm water should be very safe la..
sad.gif

they say caffine no no lah, but my gynea say a bit is fine, everything in moderate. But i would think no raw food lah.

I try to drink fruit juice, have some veg but so difficult to have good healthy meal eating outside, unless everyday Chap Chay Peng...

min..
For me, I snack on stuff like a bread with cheddar cheese and occasionally with tuna, and apples, guava, horlicks too..I also feel very frus sometimes over what to eat esp main meals....sometimes I thot I crave for something then when I get to eat it, I don't like it at all..

Now I craving for fried hokkien noodles with prawn and sotong!!! Dunno is this considered must avoid type of food also?...Also thinking of crabs...wow...

GG dun eat too much tuna, dun eat too much fish without scales. In english medicine, prawns sotong is fine, in chinese way, my hongkong fren say its poisonous to eat too much sotong, prawns, crab esp. So eh.. up to individual but i think moderate is fine.

jaspire.. dun give up, u never know surprise may be in store for u *winks*

hi gg
Hmm.. I guess its really up to u.. everything in moderation is the best. I guess seafood is fine but everything must be in moderation

hi ivy
Mrs wong boi boi is a very popular lactation consultant and midwife. She conducts ane-natal classes and her classes are always super full. Need to book at least 2-3 mths in advance for her class. I attended hers before, was quite funny and interesting but if I had a choice again, rather dun attend cause was a waste of time. Burn all our sat :p When u are having problems breastfeeding or bb not drinking well, LC are here to help u

hi pauline
I dun rem her name le, but all the LC there are very nice and they also very "power" That time my DS was still hospitalised for jaundice and the LC wanted to bring him down to monitor his feeding.. e ward nurse refuse, says must be the parent to bring down etc. Mrs Wong and the LC got fed up, just gave the ward a call and they guai guai pass the bb to the LC. Conclusion is that Mrs Wong is very well respected and wields alot of power in TMC.

hi calamari
Welcome! Guess the bill is before medisave deduction and not cash hor? Then 8k is alright
happy.gif
My first gynae was LC also.. super nice and fatherly guy, really like him and he saved my DS too. But I switched to TC cause LC dun do scans anymore from 5th mth onwards

talking abt food, i also sian. Suddenly dun noe what to eat. Hungry but dun feel like eating for dinner every night. Want to eat soupy stuff. Yes i also agree everything in moderation is fine except for things like raw fd, peanut etc. Caffine is ok but not too much. Everything when too much also hv prob. Eg deep sea fish like tuna, salmon hv heavy metal content also. Many in today context is already not pure. Bee hoon is bleach, noodles hv soda n many more. How? Like that dun eat. Keke. Maybe me wking in this line, see till use to it now. So roughly know what to eat n avoid those scary fd.

ivy actually most of the daily things we eat are generally ok one. Just eat everything in moderation. Dun worry too much abt what we can or cannot eat during pregnancy. Unless u r talking abt those old wives stories than i cannot say. That is up to individual believes. Else juz follow the list that ur gynae gv that cannot eat like raw fd, peanuts etc. But me also naughty n eat half boil egg near delivery. Cos the rational is fd poisoning cause mc. But towards delivery if touchwd anything happen, bb can be born n survive on its own. Haha but thats my own funny theory. Of course i also make sure that the egg i eat look gd enough.

haha talking about food...

GG Lee, you reminded me of a story I heard from my colleague.. she stays in Newton and when she was pregnant and felt like eating Changi nasi lemak, her husband drove her about 20 to 30 minutes there.. queued for 45 min for the famous nasi lemak and when it was finally in front of her.. she dont want to eat le.. oppss.. haha!

anyway if you are craving for spicy or strong flavoured food, i just ate original spicy ramen and my husband miso deluxe ramen from tampopo at liang court! delicious
happy.gif

hey ainsley, the website that you recommended got nice and cheap clothes, but the minimum order is 15 pcs leh.. how do you usually order? pool together with others?

finally today went for my first gynae visit haha... everything is normal... thot i will cry when i see bb heartbeat but never haha...

i ask gynae if is alright to drink milo everyday n he says is ok...

ask if i can colour hair n he say NO is an official answer haha...

maybe we can arrange to go for a tour or classes together?

hi, leen, I asked the clinic gals at Dr Wong's clinic to explain the delivery charges to me. She said for 3d2n, 1 bedder, normal delivery, it's usually $3300+, epi another $500-600 so I estimate about $4k+. Medisave can claim up to $1800 ($1350 for delivery and $450 for antenatal package that we signed earlier) so total cash should be about $2k+ lor. But of course, if baby jaundice or we stay in hospital longer than must pay more lor. :p

Hehe, my KK gynae said sashimi is fine but too bad, I tried eating it yesterday and can't stomach the smell liao. Luckily I ate at Kuishin bo on 3 April right after my first gynae visit before MS struck. :p

Just ate half boiled eggs today too but must make sure the eggs are fresh lar.
happy.gif

pauline, 3300? But the price of 3d2n stated on poster already over 4k leh. Maybe tats price wif epi. But hv u include bb charge. Think can be close to 1k including all test n jab.

Leen, oh ya i forgot about that. How much was your bb charge? That one should be standard prices whether we choose 1 bed or 2 bed right?

sleek,

I'm also currently still BF my boy
happy.gif

But partially nia, during morning before I set off for work and night before he went to bed
happy.gif

mummies, I'm so hungry the whole day and night but I'm really sick of eating and eating. However I must eat cos if I dont eat, i feel so hungry and weak...
sad.gif

happy.gif

Leen, ya lor, cos I haven't decided on which one to go with lor. :p Last time kk the bill was $4k+ for me but I stayed 4d3n then. That time, company paid so I only deduct medisave, no cash upfront.
happy.gif

Hi ladies,
I am a newcomer to this thread! Congrats to all mummies to be.
happy.gif

I am expecting my 1st baby and I am now in the 9th week. Any mum here with Dr Henry Cheng @ Bishan?

Hi Pauline
check with u, at week 7, can u hear heartbeat or u can see only the blinking blinking heartbeat? I read from those website week by week, week 7 should be able to see the form of shapre for legs, arms etc...can u see yours already at week 7?

the speed at which the thread is moving is amazing!!
i can barely keep up after no logging in for a week haha...

anyway.. check with u girls.. any of u experience something like gastric flu? i m not sure if it is bloatness or pain? my hubby did some research and said it should be indigestion.. did u all expereince that>? the pain is so bad that I cant even stand straight sometimes.

My MS is getting worse too.. almost every day will vomit 4-6 times.. terrible feeling.. sob sob.. and my cravings for food changes all the time.. somedays i cant stand sweet stuff and some days I carve for sweet stuff!! is so weird!!
