It is really ok to just use warm water to wash the baby. Baby's body has a natural protective layer which will be washed off if the bath gel used is to strong. Just a shot in the dark, if you really want to use bath gel, what about trying the bath gel equivalent of calendula cream from California baby? I remember reading that they have one. Since the cream is good for rashes and eczema, perhaps the bath gel will help?
K used to have this problem during his infancy days until I switch to Gaia. But looks like Gaia is not working for RN. Try the calendula one.
