Thanks for the info! My hubby would like to be there but I've told him if he's busy, he doesn't need to be there since the ET may not happen tomorrow. Hope for the best tomorrow..

I think fast for early morning is ok but if late morning would be quite tough but at least ET can drink water.. No water is actually quite tough..

I'm from KKH, when I did my first fresh ET I forgot to fast, had 2 Prata at 830am and got worried after reading the form. A panicky me called the nurse and she said its ok. When I met TTH I confessed to him I had a heavy breakfast, he said its ok. Unless rare cases happen when you need to go GA for ET, otherwise it's ok to eat. I did my transfer at 1pm
I think KKH is just prudence :)
 
Hi, has anyone here taken letrozole and menopur protocol for Ivf? Any success stories to share?

I have low Amh and doc tan hh is suggesting this for me. He says may have a chance of cancellation though..I know @FighteBattle had her cycle cancelled due to poor response

Hi bbdust81... I only remember doing 4 types of blood test- Hep B, HIV, Rubella and 1 more which I forgotten what before the start of my ivf. My hubby also did the same blood tests as me, his sperm count was done on my 1st consultation with Dr Tan. Maybe now require to do more than tests than before...
 
Hi all, i'm new to ivf. I have several natural miscarriages previously. Just started my fresh ivf cycle. I have alot of questions and would appreciate if u can share with me:-

1) what is a healthy follicle size?
2) what is a healthy lining size?
3) when is ohss likely to trigger? After injection, egg retrieval or after transfer?
3) how to prevent ohss? I saw post on egg white. Can i take eggs instead and when to start taking?

Hi @MrsChan00, i got this information from Internet, wondering will it be same?

For IVF treatment, what other factors will you gals look at besides the doctor? heard quite a few negative feebacks abt KK. But I don't think I can conclude based on these comments. Each hospital has their own goods and bads...

I have called up to SGH for another consultation session and somehow will make comparisons between KK and SGH..Any inputs will be appreciated... :)

my appointment is in April, but may I get your advise what is the cost of IVF now?

my is a fresh cycle as my last round did not have any reserve.

For KKH between 9500 -12000 depend on how much medication needed

oh yes... I think I did progesterone test too! On my very 1st scan before starting on injections.
For me, I did not do any research prior to starting ivf. I was referred to see Dr June Tan after my mc and she referred me to Dr THH after clomid don't work for me. I was then tested to have low AMH and hubby low sperm count thus Dr THH suggested ivf. I am worried that my eggs reserves will get lesser as I aged so decided to start this journey.
I just stick to KKH as it is convenience for me to travel. So far the nurses I met at KKH are all pretty helpful and encouraging. What I think they should improve on is the resting time after ET. For kkh, they will only let u lie down for a short while in the OT after ET and after that can go off already.

Hi ladies,

I am scheduled for SIS test this week & doctor's review in April.

Do you have any idea when will the IVF starts? My blood test was done in Feb 2016.

I am not sure if i can request the doctor to start the IVF treatment in Mid Nov 2016.

Any idea what is the timeline for IVF treatment?

Thanks tryingforbaby, yes I am aware of the risk of OHSS, so was triggered using Lucrin instead and no fresh ET :( Just feeling very slight cramp, cannot stand straight. My next hope is to have a decent number of snow embies for future FETs.
 
confirmed will have lots of embies! How come your trigger shot is lucrin ? Any special reason? I thought is pregnyl... previously i had ER with 34 eggs and ohss caught me. my case non stop vomitting and nauseas almost like 24 hrs didnt sleep at all and my tummy was v bloated that my belly button was painful. Just to share my experience with you. Try to drink more water. You at which hospital?
 
I am with Dr SF Loh at his clinic at TMC all the while, but all IVF procedures will be at TFC. Lucrin trigger shot and no fresh ET are TFC's preventive actions of OHSS. I don't feel any bloatedness at this moment and pray NOT :) Thanks for sharing your experiences here.
 
During 2ww, did many of u go on HL or back to office to work? I was thinking of going back office to work but not sure how I will be feeling... Or should I just stay home. Any comments from those who had both experiences staying home and going back to work during 2ww?
 
Hi Tryingforbaby, can ask your ohss is after et or before et? I am still in the mist of stimulation but have the nausea feel especially approaching evening time. And after dinner is worse. For today I take very light food.

Hello.. for me its the next day after ER. Before ER i do feel slightly heavy around abdomen and when i do the scan, my ovaries are pain or discomfort.. could your nauseas be side effect from the jabs? Which day are you at now? You wanna check with the doctor? I heard that normally ohss is after ER.

Depend on the nature of your work. Mine is desk bound, I went back to work the day after ET.

I've been with Dr Loh too and did 3 fresh & 2 FET. Bfp on last FET. Each fresh we retrieved over 20+ eggs and had 32 eggs for last fresh. Was down with mild OHSS for first fresh cycle and at high risk for subsequent cycles. I was triggered with pregnyl every time and managed to proceed with ER in every fresh cycle. So I think it depends. I guess they will decide to use lucrin only if you have over 30 or 40 follicles meaning very high risk of severe OHSS.

Can consider taking at least the first week HL if you do not want to take the full 2 weeks as that's the critical implantation window. It will be good to rest and have stress free time but if you feel being occupied at work keeps your mind away from worrying too much, provided your work is not physically taxing, it's not all bad going back to work.

Update on D1 (post-ER), Mar 08 Tue
- Out of 56 eggs retrieved, only 30 mature enough
- Out of the 30, 26 eggs fertilized via ICSI

I see, mine is unexplained fertility issue as both of us are fine and well...don't have any major problems.. Haiz...think unexplained fertility is the most sianz case...

I just started acupuncture, hope can help me in this area ...
