My cl for no1 almost fainted when I told her, the next time I hear U tell me my breast milk is not enough, I will give you a box of plastic bag. please speak it into the plastic bag. And throw it away before it reaches my room. I never hear that again.

Then when my aunt came and see my baby and gave me her 2 cents worth of how she brought up her children, I told her, her advises are of the 50s, keep it for women of her age. And I told her to inform all the rest who are visiting to mind their tongues cos my baby cries usually when they say wrong things or when they stink; hardly it's because it's hungry. Ahhahah

My mum was so busy apologising hahah for my post natal blues ;)

And for my no2, I said no visiting just send in ur ang baos Ahahhahah my mum really shook her head. I even got my hubby to keep my mil away till full mth ;) i threaten to go really crazy. By 5mth preggy I told my hubby I do not want to see your parents till 8mths later.

So I was very happy with my rest, cl ( I told her to stay in her room and not appear till I call for her), my bb, my ang baos....

Everyone just thought I had serious Blues ahhaha I had a ball of my time ;)

My 2 cents worth huh ;) I feel confinement is a time needed greatly to rest and recover, can't stand nonsense robbing that time away. Ahahah so terrible ;)

And as a disclaimer I am usually a very sweet person ;) so yA we are still a happy family and everyone really thought it was post blues.. It was just I drew my boundaries

Welcome back! Kudos, u are one cool cat! Heard horror stories but yet to experience. Hopefully I'll have the chance to ask someone speak into the plastic bag!!
 


hahaha!!!!! I wish I can pretend to have blues like you @kaxin .... lol.....I just ren lar then I tell my hub no more confinement help from his mom. PLS!!!!! I told him the disappearance and the do things haflway. wa piangz.. thanks but no thanks. one good thing is nobody knows I jumped into the bathroom to bathe and out. :p

Thanks for the great advice! I'll b staying at sengkang, and my block ifc will only be up next yr, so will need to find alt bah.

My mum did say try nt to drink too much bird nest as it may cause respiratory prob due to the small feather that can't b remove.

Btw, I feel that my tongue is bitter these days. Is it normal? Haha

don't wait for your block ifc then, look for other centres near your sengkang house. your area should be very hot I think u need to book when u r entering 3months pregnancy. you can decide to register or be on waiting list in the month when your baby is 3months old or 4months old, depending when you are returning to work and when you would like have your free time / sanity. :p

Im staying in sengkang too. Normally when is the right month to enrol bb in infant care? My previous pregnancy I went one of the infant care to on waiting list.
The infant care teacher told me to come to put my child name when I'm about to due. I thought for first skool infant care can enrol in when we are in 1st trimester.
 
if you can register / on waiting list early, please do so especially when your area is crowded by young parents. :)

Spare the rod spoil the child. Hahaha Nice is nice but when it comes to such things I am quite firm, cos it's so tiring to breast feed and if our supply is limited is already so tedious; I won't deal with any other nonsense ;) be it hubby mum or mil, let along cl or some random relative.

I recall once I visited a very good friend at her bb full mth, she was so not in control, this horrid Aunty was just feeding her baby AS and When she is happy! The poor kid drinks 130ml at 1 mth old! My girl now 4yrs drinks only 180! And sure enough the baby vomited. And the Aunty continue to make milk and feed the child another 100ml! Then she keeps commenting that my gf isn't feeding the baby enough! Gosh! The baby is so over weight!

I finally couldn't take it at the party, pulled her aside and told her, it's time you step up as a mother and hold your grounds, your Aunty is making ur girl Bulimic! She told me she cannot control cos the Aunty is more experienced.. I was like huh! Imagine I feed U 150ml of milk now, U puke and I feed U again, can ur stomach hold?

Then she get it and got rid of the Aunty from her house ( she thought she was helpless without the Aunty, and so she gladly took in help from that Aunty .. Of cos within that mth we hear so much horrid stories). Which I couldn't understand why it would happened till I realise .. Oh she didn't stand her grounds.

But well motherhood matured me over night, I begun to fight for my boundaries and the rights to bring up my kids at my pace. A tough battle but a very worth while one ;)

You had ur go in bringing up your kids, it's my turn now. And told my hubby either he stand up to draw that boundary or I will keep my kids away from any perceived danger. My kids my way. Heheheheh I sound scary huh ;) but sometimes we jus got to stand up to our rights la. Too tiring for the battle to be pro longed, I rather just do it once and for all in the start ;)

My Ms is kinda bad, puking after every meal ;( hahah motherhood --- endurance ... Is all we need huh ;) but it's so worth it
 
Ok I will put on waiting list when bb confirm gender =P. My area confirm didn't allow me to put in waiting list if not in third trimester.
But I will try other infant care around my area too. Thanks dear.

Cool kaixin. Peifu your stands. For me I will just keep quiet if everybody is happy. And end up my girl and me is suffering. So now I need to stand by my own and set my rule. Hehe. Thank you. This time I wont let my mil to get involve my confinement. =P
But your good friend bb very kei lian. force to drink 130ml at 1month old. somemore continue to feed her after she puked. Poor thing.

No harm asking first. Cos places in the estates with many young working couples really get snapped up quite quickly. Anyway I don't think they check where u stay. No basis to reject u on that grounds.
 
because they think puke liao mean empty stomach ma so feed again loh. my hub also like that then we argue then I tell him go read up then talk to me.

@tomago can. :) and keep calling / pestering them til u can be put on waiting list. don't listen to them say wait and wait because the wait list is very long.......

Wow.. Can keep call in and request to put in waiting list? I know their waiting list is very long. But they sure will ask u what is the name and gender of the bb. How to answer? :p
 
when I register on waiting list when I'm 2-3months pregnant with #1, I told them gender unknown so don't have name yet loh, only have edd, also don't have name yet. hahaha.....I register my name lar, then when u know gender call them n update them. :) please note you have to go to ecdalink to register again even tho you have registered on paper with the centre. that's when u already know gender and due date and name to register online. because sometimes on paper no count. playsafe secure online also. important point is don't wait til too late to register online. if you don't have hanyu pin name/Chinese name never mind, English name or a temp name also can. :)
 
@buns_bunnie I order from my bro's gf's mom, she's a CL and a babysitter, she cooked one pot for me when I delivered my #1, so I know my current pregnancy, I chopped her to cook for me.
 
Mummies, my appetite is terrible now. Whole day feel nauseous, cant take cooked food smell so cant eat. Can only eat bread, biscuits, fruits, drink milo n oats. Feeling weak because i feel hungry but cant eat sighh

I didn't have CL for my #1, super regretted! I stayed with inlaws, and mil insisted she can help. Yes, she helped and I appreciate that. But alot of things she isnt very familiar (e.g. breastfeeding) or forgotten them. You will hear comments like "why u don't give baby water?" etc....With all the post-natal blues, u can go crazy. The way to take care of a baby is rather different from the past. Hence, I would suggest for first time MTB, engage a CL if possible. My hubby took leave for my confinement but he collapsed after a week. It is not easy to handle a baby, bf, logistics stuff (washing, sterilising), etc. Just my views :)

And forgot to mention, not enough rest will affect your milk supply. And when milk supply is affected, your mood will be affected. Moody affects milk again. It's a cycle.

Waoh!!!! I was in the same situation as you 7years ago... No CL, cater food.... They help a bit but still different from my own parents.. Unable to ask them to help too much... Can not talk much with them too....! This is my 2nd pregnancy... Not getting CL too because not comfortable to stay with stranger and I prefer to handle baby myself. But thinking of move to stay with my parents... Still thinking...I have no problem handling baby... Mainly for someone to company me and cook the food I want to eat. My mum cook very nice confinement food. I was enjoying eating it during my sis in law confinement period last month... Ha ha ha

Could not agree more... My relationship with my parent in law turn sour after my 1st confinement...I did all the things myself and closed myself and baby in the room. They tried not to interfere... They keep saying they brought up their 3 children so they can handle my son too... Easy task for them... So I let them bath my son... They ask me many "how-to" questions... I feel so frustrated ...

As for how i'm feeling, I am very emotional, lol my mood is thru the roof. My husband must think I'm crazy. But I'm not. I'm just pregnant. LOL I had cramps and headache just before my AF was due (classic AF symptoms for me), so I kinda thought I would be getting my AF then, but a part of me was positive I was pregnant even before peeing on that stick. I already got the husband to start on kitty box duties before I got my positive! Call it a mother's intuition. haha. Anyway, other than the occasional tummy discomfort and extreme hunger pangs, I'm feeling good.

Now I can't wait for the 30th when I can see my lil bean! This would be my No.2 ... I already have a 5 year old boy. :)

What about you? How are you feeling at this stage of your pregnancy? And when is your first gynae appt? :)

Sorry for the late reply. Have been feeling unwell. Just vomited the whole day today. Eat what throw out what. And feeling very tired and drained.

I went for my first gynae visit during week 5. He is AL Lim from TMC.

My next appt will be 1 week from now which will be my week 7 ardy. But I'm thinking to go see him Tml Becos the vomiting is causing me very difficult to stay at work. :(

Do you all experience heart palpitations after food ESP at night?

I have been getting it since week 5. I'm on my week 6 now. It's making me very uncomfortable. Now I'm vomiting each time I eat and is coughing. Feeling very tired and unable to concentrate at work.

I went to the GP and he got no med for me to ease the vomiting.

Is there anything I can do to ease the vomiting?

I bought cranberry juice to drink a its sour so I feel better..

Mrsmorgan, congrats... Feeling nausea is good sign. Means pregnancy hormones is strong ;)

I smell young living peppermint oil to erase the urge of vomit. haha. At times will have the urge of vomit in train don't know why. =P
Once I stand I will have the urge of vomit. Must lie on the bed so the nausea feel will be lower.

Just vomited again after llao llao...guess I can't take milky stuff. My #1 I think I din start vomiting this early. Guess every pregnancy is different.
 
Hi just to check. Is there anybody here given Cyclogest as support for bleeding? Can Cyclogest be used together with other support medicine like duphaston??
 
Went to see gynae earlier today and saw the tiny flickering heartbeat! Im so relieved! Edd 11/11 which is my anniversary but most likely baby will come out earlier.. Praying hard baby will be gd n healthy till full term!
Doc told me to just eat whatever i can.. If really cant then drink sweet drinks or fruit juice at least got sugar in the body. Was given folic acid, multi-vits and duphaston since i miscarried before. Told my husband to let me rest and he has to do all the work haha! :p

Congrats! I've been burping non stop since morning :(
Want to tell gynae and see if there's any way to stop this hahah... Im seeing next Tues! Counting down :)
 
So exciting.. can't wait for my appt!! 30!! Thinking if I shud b/f. Haha but I scared still too early.. idk when last menses so can't tell..

Hi happy_mth, I not given cyclogest but I'm taking duphaston now. U better call your gynae and check before consume the medicine.

Congrats mrsmorgan... So good can see heartbeat... How I wish I could see it next 2weeks time.
Same I given the same medicine as you has. Haha maybe because we see the same gynae =P
But after take duphaston MS will get worse. Jiayou. ^^
