I think you see u visit your gynae before you go for your trip, at least you will be able to set your mind at ease and have fun at Phuket. Just my 2 cents worth:)
 


Just checking with ladies here, lately, my boobs seems not that sore.. actually its not the boobs but the nipples that's sore.. but since last night and this morn, its not as sore already.. I am quite worried.

Hi, everyone! Im happy to join this grp as I juz tested bfp yesterday :) I had cramps similar to menses ever since d due date n tested negative too. I continued having cramps but no menses. I tested again n got a clear positive. Is the cramping normal in pregnancies? A bit worried abt this issue.

Now I'm not sure what to do? When do you have ur first screening(I'm already in wk6)? I had juz registered for iui treatment n had taken the relevant blood tests. Do I call back kkivf to cancel my registeration? N call for appointment wif the original gynae? My doctor is dr sadhana. So shuld I schedule an appt wif her? Or do I book another doctor as I heard sadhana doesn't continue seeing patients for normal pregnancy cases after she transferred to kkivf.....hmmm quite confused now....
 
@hopeful_mum It's ok if you took before that just take it as a celebratory meal lol. But best to refrain from taking any now that you are pregnant just to play safe.

Congrats @reenmeen! Cramping is normal, so don't worry too much. Maybe you can call KKIVF centre to inform the nurse and see if they can advise you on the next procedure? They might be able to fix the screening for you or assign another doctor to you. My first screening is tomorrow, which is around 2 weeks after I got my beta HCG results
 
hi everyone, i am expecting my baby, edd 03 Nov 2014.
amaesing, dont worry about the blood stains, brown blood is considered old blood, not an issue. only when red, then is concerning.
i had excessive blood loss on sunday, rushed to kkh and was asked to be admitted. thought the baby is gone because something dropped out when i was in the toilet but baby still hanging strong. experienced this in my previous pregnancy too. baby is all well n fine.
 
When do we start on dha, multi vitamins respectively? I had this impression that I was on folic acid and multi vit for first trimester then dropped the folic acid for dha subsequently. But I could be wrong. Anyone here knows?

Folic acid best continue throughout. Dha fr second trimester. Multivit throughout.

Anyone has a gd calcium sup to rec? I only know calciym citrate is gd but iherb has a ton of diff brands!
 
Hi all.. I tested positive when I was in New Zealand last week. Should be about 4 weeks preggy now.. seen gynae and couldnt see anything and was told to go back and see her in 2 weeks. Think I was too anxious heehee.. This is gonna be my second baby. Hope everything is gonna be fine for this pregnancy.. Cheers!
 
Btw is it normal to have cramps and 'pulling' sensation at abdonmen area? I couldnt even stand straight at times and I dun remember having such cramps when I was preggy with #1..
 
Is it a must to drink formulae milk during pregnancy? My mom ask me to drink but I could take the taste... No milk no calcium leh..

It's a myth that only dairy pdts provide calcium. In fact some research has shown that dairy can cause calcium loss. Go google on it. If u still like to drink dairy, go ahead w fresh milk. Formula milk is reconstituted n processed fr skimmed milk powder and vegetable oil (incl palm oil that's found in deep fried food n instant mee). That's y I weaned my gal off FM v early. She hardly takes dairy now.

Hi everyone! Congrats to moms & moms-to-be! Kkh apt is fully packed so I went to private gynae for confirmation. I'm at wk5d4. Edd is 17 Nov...juz a water bag on d scan....hmm but any recommendations for kkh docs?

I think it's normal. It's the uterus stretching or something along those lines. Mine will have sharp pain along the lower abdomen especially when I move too quick. It's the same for both pregnancies.

Kumon. So far I'm still ok, my 1st one I had bad MS , no appetite but I was not working. This one very mild MS if any and appetite is very good. I'm working and worried about next month when it's super bz period.

To those experienced ladies, I like to know when does morn sickness kick in? I am about 5 wks plus and I do not experience any ms (nor am I feeling fatigue) in fact I feel perfect with a good appetite too. I am on progesterone thou blood test result not out till next gynae visit. I am just paranoid as I read that ms indicates that the pregnancy is progressing well. Thanks and congrats to everyone. Have a smooth pregnancy!

Just to share. I think having ms is subjective. I had no ms for #1 at all.. she turned out well. :) but for this round, im starting to feel queasy for the past week. Hope ms doesnt strike. Appetite still good though.
 
Hopeful_mom, next gynae visit is on this comin wed... and I think I will be worried till then... dunno why but everytime I go toilet I m so scared I will see spotting... sigh...

Hi icecreamcony! Congrats... my first pregnancy was great too.. no ms and fatigue.. great appetite towards the end and my bb came out at a healthy weight of 3.47kg.. am in my 6week now and fatigue hit me really bad.. TT also hope no nausea whatsoever

Wow! 3.47kg Good weight! How old's your #1? Any mum has tips on preparing older child for arrival of baby? :) Happy Saturday everyone!
 
Hi all..juz tested positive this morng. Wanna chk.. if i o late, is it advisable to c gynae later? My lmp was 18feb n i o ard 10mar. Was tinkg if i c gynae this wk.. not sure if its too early n cnt c much? Hmm.
 
Oh dear i had lots of coffee last wk whilst overseas.. now feeling kinda paranoid as i felt v bad pain last nite.. not sure if its gastric or abdomen pain. Arghh.
 
Congrats @sunshine_smile :) You might want to wait another 2-3 weeks before going for your first scan cos if based on your LMP, you are currently 4 weeks along and too early to detect anything yet. Usually by 6 weeks and above then can spot the fetal pole and heartbeat.

Do you have gastric issues previously? It's common to have cramps and pulls at the sides of your abdomen during pregnancy but if it gets too unbearable best to consult a doctor and have it checked out. Refrain from drinking caffeine for now and do rest well!

Ic.. so we still count by lmp tho ovulate late? Hmm dun tink any gastric issue.. but last nite ate late..
 
Hello everyone! I just tested positive yesterday and based on my LMP, edd shld be 16 Nov. This is my 2nd, my 1st is turning 2 yo in 2 wks' time.
