Piles

Hi to all mummies and mommies to be out there!!

I desperately need an answer, and really appreciated any mommy out there to help me!! I have an internal pile which is unluckily close to the anus opening and not an external one and I had this pile for few years. it doesn't give me any pain or itch (only slight bleeding if I got hard stool). it only come out after every pooping regardless of how soft my poops are, and after it I have to push it back if not it will get uncomfortable or pain.

anyway I went to see a specialist n she say that the only way to remove it is to have surgery to cut it off (cant even use rubber band or staple method) and she say it is totally up to me to decide (cox not severe to become MUST CUT).

Now I am trying to conceive and I don't know whether to have the surgery then conceive or not get the surgery. Cox the doc say after cutting it, it might come back during pregnancy :((((

Is there anyone out there who has similar experience with me ??? or anyone that can advise?

Sometimes, you can develop external piles after pushing too hard if you have a natural birth.

So, maybe you want to wait til after birth. I develop a mild and not serious case of it after pushing for more than 1 hr. :(

May I know why she said cannot use rubber band or staple method? Is this specialist good? I am looking for recommendation. I have piles internally and externally after my first pregnancy . I went to see a specialist . That specialist did not tell me how serious but just tell straight away if I am ok , he will use laser to do surgery right away on the same day and want to do a colonoscopy on me too ! Scary. I immediately said no . Let me think first! My piles hurt me a lot and bleeds wverytime I have a hard stool and when I get heaty, they will swell up.
I suggest u not to remove it first. Do it after u have all done with all pregnancies. save money.

Hi, did you get rid of your piles now? Or just leave it like that?

Treatment for haemorrhoids will depend on the type of haemorrhoids, their severity and symptoms. Agree that haemorrhoids are common during pregnancy due to the extra pressure and weight. In my personal experience, I had a haemorrhoidectomy with Dr Dennis Koh because my case was already at a more severe stage and is causing constant inconvenience and discomfort. The process was quick and thankfully the recovery was smooth and uneventful. However, for milder or more moderate cases, the doc may not recommend surgery.

I visited Colorectal Practice to get advice about my piles. I was quite concerned because I was expecting at the time. Due to the extra pressure on the pelvic area, Dr. Dennis Koh informed me that my case is quite common in pregnant women but assured me that they can usually be treated conservatively. I had the procedure, and happily, everything went well and I recovered without any problems. I was able to carry my baby to full term and deliver a healthy child.
