Top up deposit-is this correct?

hi...juz want some advice fr you on whether u have encountered this...

i enroled my kid in this student care centre mths ago. i paid one mth deposit other than the mthly fees.

the student care centre will be increasing fees by $20 in a few mths time. they are also asking parents to top up the one mth deposit by $20. however, we paid this one mth deposit when we enroled our kid mths ago. i am wondering whether is it a common practice to collect an increment to the deposit?

Actually this is correct. My girl center also ask my to top up my deposit when they increase their school fees. Because when we need to withdraw, they will use the deposit to waive off the last month school fees for us. Therefore we need to top up the deposit to match the new school fees.
