This is my own personal experience in hospitals public and private . I gave birth in 2002 and 2007 respectively.
My birth in 2002 was the most painful , death defying experience I had . My baby heartbeat dropped and meconium was reflected in the monitoring machine thus I was induced .
My contractions came out strong but my cervix did not dilate enough and thus it was mind fighting with body .
( Your body wants to push badly but the on shift nurse said that you cannot yet as cervix is not dilated enough) * THIS IS THE MOST HELL EXPERIENCE FOR ME . *
I strongly believe that Births should not be induced . If births really need to be induced for whatever reason, it should come with a epidural.
I eventually had to have a catheter inside into me ( Again , very painful) and severe tears along the vaginal region.
My second birth was in a private hospital.
I did not use any form of induction . I had a doula and she monitored the screen for me.
When it was time to give birth, contractions came in tandem with the dilation of the cervix!
It was the most beautiful birth experience!!!
I wrote this in this forum as when it is my turn for my child to have a child , I will show this forum to her . Also to share with the public that I feel something is wrong with the medical practice based on my own experience and doctors/Gynae needs to relook at what they are doing!
As when time passes by ,
the pain , the memories will slowly erode and this too I will forget my own birthing experience. Thus this is the best way to share .
