Steroid jab for C-section delivery at 38weeks

Anyone who deliver via planned c sect taken this jab to mature baby lungs?

I heard it is a painful jab. Wanna to know any side effects of this jab on mother. And is it a need if deliver on 38weeks?

Y do u need to take this jab if u r delivering only at 38w. 37w is already considered full term. The jab is needed if u r gog to deliver the bb prematurely. I had it as I had contractions in 31w and the gynae was worried tt I may deliver then...v v v v painful, 2 jabs

This is what I think also..
My gynae was saying bb birth naturally can push the fluid inside their lungs themselves but for c sect cases not.
He said is optional for me.
I read online, some ob in western countries will insist to have this jab shot if c sect was planned before 39weeks when they think bb lungs are mature enough.
That's why I m hesitating..

I didn't need to take e jab when I csect for my 1st at 38w

My first one was overdue hence the same gynae didn't offer this jab too.
I will pray hard for a healthy one. I think I am not gg to take jab this time.
