Hi! Im 2 months pregnant as of now..

I had hives since last year Sep 13, unsure of the reason.

My GP gave me Zyzal to control the hives till the past 1 week when i was really confirmed by the GP that im pregnant i was told to stop taking it.

Im having a very hard time trying to cope wif my days as the itch was dame terrible and it even effects my face.

I went to the TCM a few days back n was given some lotion n spray to control it and was also give a dame long list of things that im nt able to eat.

Eg: Chicken, Eggs, cheese, milo, all yellow n orange food.

I find it very hard to cope coz it almost on daily basis im eating only rice n fish.

Has anyone been in the same state as me?

I need help.. :'(

I hope you are feeling better now! As you are currently preggie, there are many kind of antihistamines that you need to avoid in case it affects the baby.
Maybe you can try wearing loose long sleeves and pants. Avoid taking hot showers.. perhaps you want to avoid taking seafood as well? And keep yourself hydrated...

The last time I had hives, it was so terrible that I was hospitalised. Even the dermatologist have no idea how this hives came about.. can only be curb by medications... - which you cant take now..

hi SFD,

Thank you for your reply.

I have stop taking the Zyzal however i dun feel full after eating on fish or veg with rice for my lunch n dinner.

Not being able to drink milk also makes me feel kind of weak, im just scared my baby does nt have enuff nutri.

From my experience, my hives usually comes back when the weather changes or when I wear clothes that are slightly tighter. You can try to find out what triggers the hives, then slowly avoid from there.. ;)

Hi Ace

I have hives too. I switch my shower gel to Melaleuca bar soap and it recovered after a month. Not expensive only $5 which last few months.
