Gynae Recommendations

Hi! I am a first-time mum to be. I need some help for recommendations to a gynae and if possible, for it to be affordable. I have tried to contact KKH to set an appointment, but it seems that they can't really be bothered and said if it's urgent to go 24 A&E but I'm not even sure if my case is considered urgent.

Get a referral from Polyclinic. Will be cheaper. I don't know what's your budget like but each visit (depending on what is done I.e scan, tests) at KKH may set you back around $80 to $100+

Private is around $150 for consult and scan.

I went through KKH for all the necessary tests and scans but had my own private gynae outside cause I feel easier to go to him rather then go AnE. Delivered with my private gynae as well. Can PM me if you want his contact.

*his clinic is located along the NE line

If you contact KKH directly for an appointment you will be considered private patient but the benefit is that you can choose the gynae you want.
Like what G3N mentioned, go to polyclinic to get a referral to go under subsidised route in KKH. All the tests and consultations will be under a subsidised rate. You can choose to convert to private later on if you want to see a particular gynae.

Good luck!

I’m with Dr Ng from GynaeMD, and he’s been really approachable and easy to talk to, which makes a big difference as a first-time mum. It’s a private clinic, so not as cheap as subsidised options, but I find the peace of mind and shorter wait times worth it. If KKH didn’t work out, maybe consider a private gynae first to get checked, then decide later if you want to transfer to a public hospital for delivery.
