Cysts in Ovaries

Hi all. After trying for around 10 months with no BFP, we decided to visit the gynae for a checkup. I had a positive OPK on 21 August 2020 and went to the gynae on 22 August 2020. Doctor conducted a transvaginal ultrasound to check my womb. My uterus is okay albeit thicker lining (doctor said must continue to observe this). However, he saw visible cysts in both my ovaries. He did not see any follicle (or any signs of ovulation) even though I had positive OPK. Cysts make it harder to predict ovulation according to him. I started becoming emotional about it. I have a normal BMI and is not obese (height is 171cm and weight is 55kg). My period cycle is completely normal (ranging from 29 days to 31 days). I was prescribed with letrozole (for consumption on Day 2 menses until Day 7) and my next appointment is Day 11/12 of my next cycle to check if there is any sign of ovulation.

Does anyone have such experience? I need some support and have been very down.

i tried for a baby for 1yr and 4 months. was on letrozole for 3 cycles and still not pregnant. did all fertility tests and it was normal. hubby tests was normal too. dr found i had a cyst in my ovary too but told me it didnt affect with getting pregnant. maybe you can ask your dr if the cysts will affect your chances of pregnancy. if not then shouldn’t be an issue. if it is then might need to remove the cyst before trying (i know of some frns who did that)

in the end i took up a so-iui procedure and currently at 12 weeks. so dont give up. if you are taking any vitamins or supplements get them cleared with your dr too cos some could interfere with implantation etc. im not sure whats your age but im 31 this yr.

all the best in your pregnancy journey..
