Chronic Hypertension (HBP)

Hi ladies, just checking if anyone have hypertension before getting pregnant, and everything is okay throughout the pregnancy with the help of medication? Any special diet you are on beside low salt, and usually how much is your BP during the pregnancy? I couldn't find much thread on this information and hoping someone can share with me their experience. thank you!

Hi, my collegue got hypertension only during her pregnancy, she taken the hypertension’s med given by doc throughout her pregnancy..

So I think not to worry as long as the med was prescribe by doc..

So you already pregnant now or?

yes, currently pregnant and i have genetic hypertension as both my parents also have.
I have done full body check up on my organs and all is okay.
but last scan the BP was really high.. so i got really worried.. but now is back to borderline of high which is what doctor wants to see as well.... my BP was always high when i check in hospital. but when i got home and monitor daily myself.. it was okay.... So with my cutting down much more on my salt intake.. i lost like 2kg in a week. plus lost of appetite also due to the worries i guess.... I am on hypertension med as well.

Not to worry too much since you are on doc’s medication and now is back to borderline..

Try to relax, don be stress.. try to cut down oily food ba

Thank you~ i wil try to relax and not be too stress up also. Cant help the worries is there. Hopefully everything will be ok especially after week20. They say BP may higher at later stage.

Trust ur doc as I’m sure ur doc will help you one this

And you worried cox of baby right, if you worry too much, might be affect baby too right... So, since everything going well now, don think so much..

life is wonderful, enjoy ur pregnancy and be happy everyday
